If so, wouldn't the same error apply to Arhats (dgra bcom, Sanskrit: Arhat, a noble one who has eliminated afflictions and is worthy of offerings) and those with good qualities (legs ldan)? If the literal meaning of Mahamudra (phyag rgya chen po) is understood as the meaning of 'hand,' wouldn't it be confusing? In the two truths of 'permanence' (rtag pa), 'gesture' (brda) and 'response to gesture' (brda'i lan) are called 'mudra' (phyag rgya), please explore the intention of saying so. In Vajradhatu (rdo rje 'byung), the hand gestures (lag pa'i rnam 'gyur) of the Buddhas are different, why is it called Mahamudra? If it doesn't apply to Tilopa (ti lo ti lo), then the letter 'I' (ཨི, Tibetan: i) is called 'E' (ཨེ, Tibetan: e), what is the reason for saying this in Kalapa (kA la pa)? Naro (nA ro) is called a Brahmin (bram ze), although it is a type of Brahmin, isn't the word 'ta' used as an honorific? The Kausika Sutra (ko'u shi ka'i mdo) is called a false scripture, please point out its basis. If it is a scripture of non-Buddhists (mu stegs byed), it should not be used as a basis, then should the scriptures praised by the wise, such as the 'Melody Rain Sutra' (dbyangs char rgyud), medicine (sman dpyad), 'Kalapa' (kA la pa), Dandi's 'Poetics' (tshig rgyan gzhung), and 'Immortal Treasure' ('chi med kyi bang mdzod), be discarded? Where is the basis for 'Ignorance' (ma rig) etc. in the 'Uttaratantra' (rgyud bla)? If it exists between 'declaration' (bshad) and 'any' (gang zhig), then why does the venerable one (rje btsun) distinguish the words below 'believe so' (de ltar yid ches) and judge them as 'provisional' (drang) and 'definitive' (nges)? From which scripture does the term 'Third Council' (bka' bsdu gsum pa) come? From where is the subjugation of the Great God (lha chen) and other heretical teachings (chos log) spoken of in the Third Council? From where does the legend about 'the attainment of the sun' (nyi ma'i dngos grub) come? What does it refer to when Dharma (dar ma) destroyed the Dharma (bstan pa bsnubs) and many heretical teachings arose between Yeshe Od (mnga' bdag ye shes 'od)? In the treatises of Rinchen Zangpo (rin chen bzang po), only the prohibition of union (sbyor sgrol) is mentioned, but there is no record of him destroying all heretical teachings. If subduing Shiwavo (pho brang zhi ba 'od) and Go's (mgo) evil mantras (sngags log) also causes some harm to oneself. 'Hero, your teachings' (dpa' bo khyod kyi bstan pa ni) etc., who is this praising? Is it praising our compassionate teacher (thugs rje can)? The chapter title 'Discipline of Vidyadharas' (rig 'dzin sdom pa'i skabs) does not appear either. Asking in such detail is because of faith in this treatise, and possessing rich learning (thos pa), eloquence, and skill in clearly expressing meaning. Seeing you refute the treatises of the wise with brief words, I asked in detail. If you cannot answer these questions truthfully, then ask the questioner himself in return. Then it can be explained well, and the feast (dga' ston) will spread in all directions. Those who think the meaning of the scriptures is easy to understand and remain neutral, if they have not seen the meaning of these questions, will raise some difficult problems. Because they do not understand the key points of questioning and refutation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who claim to be scholars but are like phantoms in the dark, if they scornfully say, 'This treatise has been refuted!', it is merely their own fault. For truly excellent wise ones, no matter what doctrine they explain, will thoroughly understand and master its essence, and then in the form of questions and answers, explain and write to others. Thus, the venerable and joyful spiritual friend, at the great monastery of Thubten Dargyeling (thub bstan dar rgyas gling), the center of Lower Ngari (mnga' ris), for the sake of the holy beings in Central Tibet, Tsang, and Kham, recorded the essence of this treatise in the form of questions to the wise and accomplished ones. The tent adorned with red and yellow hair, awe-inspiring! With the fierce thunderous sound of Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,seed syllable, meaning to subdue) and Phaṭ (ཕཊ,phaṭ,mantra, meaning to cut off), cut off the obstacles to non-Dharma and the evil guides! May all the protectors of the Dharma come to this auspicious occasion today! Mangalam! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
