At Gur Gon Lhagyé (Protector Deity and Eight Brothers), I received the initiation. I prostrate to the inseparable virtuous friend, Mo! At Martonpa's (dMar ston pa) feet, I received two complete teachings of the Vinaya Sutra Root Text, one Kosha, {ཀརྨ་}, (कर्म, karma, karma, karma) Shatam, fasting rituals, and some minor teachings. In the delightful land of Sonam Shegi Khang Sang (bsod nams shel gyi khangs bzang), seated upon the throne of pure morality, With the vast sound of the Abhidharma, deep and resonant, I sincerely trust the Lord of Discipline. At Damcho Gyal's (dam chos rgyal) (སྐྱོར་ལུང་འགའ་ཁང་པ, Kyorlung Gakhangpa) feet, I received three Vinaya Sutra Root Texts, three Koshas, one hundred Jataka tales, and some minor teachings such as the Prince's Collection. Jigme Dulwai Pel ('Jigs med 'dul ba'i dpal), the banner of Dharma, At Kyorlung Khenpo's feet, I listened to the Pratimoksha Sutra, the transmission of the four Vinayas, Vajrapani Tamer of Beings, and the transmission and initiation of Vaishravana's eight families. I request to be seated upon the vast throne of Abhidharma. Restraining all with virtuous discipline, I offer to the virtuous friend. In that palace of shimmering Bodhicitta light, pure in the three trainings, Existing as the glory of the King of Dharma, the true virtuous friend is worthy of praise. Adorned with the towering banner of Dharma, in the great crystal courtyard of virtuous deeds, Fulfilling the hopes of many wise ones, I worship that crown jewel of reason. Possessing fame that resounds in the ears of many (At Gungruwa's feet, I received the transmission and explanation of the Madhyamika-prasangika from Thang Sagpa). Having extracted the essence of auspicious yellow flowers, possessing a face that spreads the nectar of altruism, I also remember that wise and virtuous lama. Whoever possesses a virtuous Dharma nature (At Dropa Khenpo's feet, I studied twice with this teacher the Sangpuwa's Compendium of Valid Cognition and Rongti's commentary on the Abhisamayalankara). Striving to guide the faith of many wise ones with the drumbeat of reason that surpasses all, I sing the praises of that virtuous friend's qualities. Standing firm in the center of the ocean of wisdom, possessing countless tiers of different disciplines (From this teacher, I listened in detail to the two commentaries on the Madhyamakavatara composed by the precious Lobsang Drakpa). Revered by a chain of wise and accomplished golden mountains, the Pandit translator is honored by the crown of my respectful head.
