Great Scholar Sakya Chokden's Instructions skc101: 'The Cloud Drum of Wondrous Manifestations: A Biography of the Glorious and Holy Guru Kumaramati' ༄༅། ། The Cloud Drum of Wondrous Manifestations: A Biography of the Glorious and Holy Guru Kumaramati ༄། ། Introduction ༄༅། ། The Cloud Drum of Wondrous Manifestations: A Biography of the Glorious and Holy Guru Kumaramati Namaḥ Guruve Homage to the Guru). A brief biography of the Glorious and Holy Guru Kumaramati, entitled 'The Cloud Drum of Wondrous Manifestations.' I prostrate with reverence at the feet of the holy Guru, the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times. In whom there is not even a speck of fault, Yet possesses a myriad of wondrous qualities, Who manifests in forms appropriate to sentient beings, I bow to the lotus feet of the Guru. Having embraced the golden womb of youthful Manjushri, With a mind of immaculate and well-learned wisdom, Skilled in revealing the truth of inner and outer Dharma, The incomparable qualities of the Holy One are countless. The accomplished bestower of inexhaustible words, Even if praised for hundreds of eons, the end cannot be fathomed, However, for ordinary beings in general, I will speak briefly of how he appears; listen with respect. Thus, you have certainly abandoned the two obscurations, And completely eradicated even their imprints, Yet upon the smiling faces of fortunate devotees, This glory of exceeding attachment shines forth. Thus it is said. In the ultimate sense, the wisdom and compassion of all Buddhas of the three times are gathered into one. When the degenerate age arrives, they manifest in forms appropriate to each being and work for the benefit of sentient beings in ways that are inconceivable. Therefore, the holy Guru abides as the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times. However, to the extent that it appears to us ordinary beings, I will speak briefly of how he appears, in two parts: the introduction and the main subject. First, the introduction: In the twelve parts of Jambudvipa, Skilled in exerting thousands of scriptural authorities, The activity of the glorious first Buddha, Is fully accomplished by the lord of men, Grakpa. Thus it is said. In the vast expanse of the continent of Jambudvipa, divided into the ages of perfection, three, two, and strife, for twenty-one thousand six hundred years without interruption, the activity of the glorious first Buddha, who teaches the unique means of leading limitless sentient beings to the path of maturation and liberation, is fully accomplished. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The venerable one is known as 'Lord of Men, Fame' (mi'i bdag po grags pa), who is the venerable Jampelyang He also said: 'Shambhala (Shambha la) is famous for Shakya (Shākya), In the palace of stacked jewels, One who attains empowerment and mastery of knowledge, Is born on this glorious earth.' Jampelyang (འཇམ་དཔལ་དབྱངས, Manjushri) said: On the summit of Mount Kailash (Kailasha), in a palace made of various jewels, Shambhala (Shambha la) is famous for Shakya (Shākya), In the center of the great city of vidyadharas (knowledge holders) held by the Shakyas (Shākya), He empowered and liberated four hundred and fifty million hermits, including the chariot of the sun. Among them, one who attained mastery of knowledge, A siddha (accomplished one) who consciously took birth in this land surrounded by snow mountains, Is none other than the omniscient Rinchen Shakya, who is widely known. What are his special qualities? It is said: 'Like a swarm of bees gathering in a fragrant lotus lake, All the vidyadharas (knowledge holders) empowered by Vajradhara (金刚持) also gather to him.' Just as swarms of bees naturally gather in a lotus grove filled with fragrance, countless yidam deities and vidyadharas (knowledge holders) who control the treasury of Vajradhara's (金刚持) speech have actually blessed him, which is inconceivable. In particular, Shavari Wangchuk manifested a great mandala at the border of Nepal and Tibet and gave empowerment. He fully received the instructions of the six-branched yoga, including the generation stage, completion stage, and samadhi. After that, in the secluded, comfortable, and auspicious Shanglung Palgyi Ritrö, he practiced single-mindedly without moving from his cushion for eighteen years, and finally attained the state of thirteen Vajradharas (金刚持). Then, in the Iron Ox year, he demonstrated the manner of passing into nirvana. By his power, in this place also, like rivers flowing into the great ocean, both supreme and common siddhis (accomplishments) are naturally achieved. Just as rivers naturally flow into the great ocean, due to the blessing of this great person, like the great city of Kalapa, countless heroes and yoginis naturally gather here and are blessed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
