Collected Teachings of the Great Scholar Sakya Chokden skc82: Elucidation of the Eight Sections of the Path - Nectar Drops Elucidation of the Eight Sections of the Path - Nectar Drops Elucidation of the Eight Sections of the Path - Nectar Drops Namo Vajradharaya Homage to Vajradhara). The Great Vajradhara, whose vast and profound secret path is like an inexhaustible treasure. To illuminate the Land of Snows, the尊者 named 'Drokmi Lotsawa', in his hands. To tame fortunate beings, enabling them to realize the state of the Great Vajradhara in this very life, flawlessly revealing the complete instructions, this is the famous 'Nine Sections of the Path'. Among them, the most important is the 'Path with its Fruit' instructions, which originated from the mouth of the powerful master Virupa himself. The root is the Vajra verses, like the small treatise 'Wish-Fulfilling Jewel', transmitted orally through the lineage masters, and recorded in writing by the compassionate Sakya. It is said that the尊者 wrote eleven commentaries on the root text, each for different petitioners, yet their meanings do not conflict. Named after the petitioners, such as 'Yumdonma', 'Dagyalma', 'Asengma', 'Nyagma', etc., all oral instructions are included within these commentaries. The order of guiding disciples with these is: starting from someone who has never entered the Dharma, guiding them through the precious human rebirth and so on, leading them to the path of higher realms, up to the thirteenth Vajradhara state, gradually guiding them through all the common and uncommon excellent paths, and explaining with instructions, this is the essence of all Sutras and Tantras. Although each of the Eight Sections of the Path guides disciples onto the path, and their main content does not deviate from the Path with its Fruit, the lineage order is transmitted successively from masters other than the Yoga Master. Later passed into the hands of Jetsun Myugu Lungpa, practiced by the Great Sakya, and at the feet of Jetsun Drakpa, eight guidebooks were written. Briefly explaining the way these eight paths reside, there are three aspects: identifying the names of the instructions; briefly explaining the way each path is guided; and unifying all the key points of the ground, path, and fruit into one meaning. Firstly, it is mainly related to the glorious Guhyasamaja. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two sets of Mahamudra path instructions, mainly related to Chakrasamvara, composed by Acharya Kriyavajra. Two sets of Mahamudra path instructions, mainly related to Hevajra, composed by Acharya Ḍombipa and Padmavajra. Two sets of Mahamudra path instructions, commonly related to the Anuttarayoga Tantra, composed by Acharya Togrtsepa and Indrabhuti. Among these path instructions, the two related to Hevajra, although not related to the oral instruction lineage of Yogishvara, have a different origin of transmission, falling into the hands of Gayadhara and transmitted to 'Brokmi. The other six came from other lineages, falling into the hands of the great accomplished Viravajra and transmitted to 'Brokmi. The second part is: Among the four sets (two in each set) of path instructions as mentioned above, the names of the first two are 'Enlightenment in front of the Stupa' and 'Mahamudra Without Letters'. The first one was composed by Acharya Nagarjuna, and the latter one was composed by Vagishvarakirti. Another way of saying the name is 'Determining the Mind in Front of the Stupa', also known as 'The Text that Truly Shows Mahamudra'. The fundamental doctrine here is: In the Guhyasamaja Tantra, the respective recognitions of the true bodhicitta of the Tathagatas of the six realms (six lineages) are the same in meaning. In short, as it is said: 'The mind itself is originally unborn, it is the nature of emptiness.' This is it. The oral instruction teachings for practicing this (doctrine) are: Saraha's Dohakosha Gita and Nagarjuna's treatise called Bodhicittavivarana. Although the method of recognizing and practicing the self-luminous nature of primordial wisdom (jnana) can also be understood from the Paramita, this is the way of mantra. First, the continuum (samtana) is matured by empowerment (abhiseka) in a mandala such as the Guhyasamaja. Based on the inseparability of any ishtadevata yoga, as it is said: 'The mind bound by a rope, once untied, there is no doubt that it will be liberated.' Practice in this way, combining with conduct (charya), thereby realizing the sambhogakaya with seven branches. The second, the practice of the 'Without Letters' is also similar to the former. The special feature is that, in order to facilitate the understanding of the view (drishti), the blessing ritual of the supreme Vajra Nairatmya is performed first. The view realized by this is that the mind itself is without letters, or called devoid of all expressions. Abiding in the samahita of this (view), and then in the post-attainment (prsthalabdha) position, determine the appearance as mind, and from outside the mind... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
