Claiming to be followers of both Svatantrika and Prasaṅgika, This statement is worse than the views of all sects. Those who strive to uphold the treatises of Chandrakīrti, Claim that what is said in the Third Turning (referring to the Yogācāra school's scriptures) is provisional (neyārtha), This contradicts the teachings of Vajrayāna. Claiming that what is not explained in the treatises of Prasaṅgika, Is not the ultimate meaning of Tantra, This is equivalent to declaring that all two truths (saṃvṛti-satya and paramārtha-satya) of Tantra Are conventional truths (saṃvṛti-satya). If so, why bother saying that this or that Is produced by wisdom (jñāna)? This would only lead to temporary and ultimate ignorance (avidyā) Deluded illusions. If the distinction of the two truths in Tantra Is explained here, Then, whatever appears to the consciousness (vijñāna) deluded by ignorance Is all conventional truth here. Even when naming, One should distinguish the two truths of the object of consciousness: Those deluded by temporary causes of delusion and Those not deluded, And contemplate the two truths of worldly people and non-Buddhists (tīrthika). Whatever appears in the realm of wisdom, Here, all of that is ultimate truth (paramārtha-satya). Divided into two by the distinction of the generation stage (utpattikrama) and The completion stage (sampannakrama). The generation stage is accomplished through wisdom, Therefore, it is presumptuous to think it is ultimate truth. Whatever appears in the realm of concepts, The object is conventional truth, It can elucidate ultimate truth, And it is not merely due to ignorance Being deluded, Therefore, it cannot be explained solely as conventional truth. The way to practice the generation stage is also From the perspective of concepts and consciousness, It is not to be abandoned, But to be seen from the perspective of manifest wisdom. In any case, in this Mahāyāna, Whatever appears to consciousness and wisdom Is knowledge itself, Apart from that, there are no other dharmas. What appears in wisdom is wisdom itself, Therefore, it is ultimate truth; What appears in consciousness is consciousness itself, Therefore, it is conventional truth. The emptiness (śūnyatā) that is established by reasoning, The negation of existence, Because it is a general characteristic (sāmānya-lakṣaṇa), Therefore, it does not clearly appear in the realm of Direct perception (pratyakṣa). Whatever appears in the realm of concepts, The apprehended aspect (grāhaka-bhāga) is exclusive, The apprehending aspect (grāhaka-bhāga) does not go beyond concepts, Therefore, the knowable (jñeya) is conventional truth. If so, then the reasoning that Establishes emptiness Would also be deluded by temporary and ultimate ignorance, Is that so? For any dharma, The aspect of attachment to it is deluded by ignorance, For this, one can explain the two distinctions of temporary and Ultimate: Innate concepts are attached to this, This is ultimate ignorance. All dharmas are empty (śūnyatā) of their own nature (svabhāva), As their inherent nature, And knowing this is the opposite of innate Ignorance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, through conceptual thinking, what arises there, is entirely a mistaken concept fabricated by sects, so it does not become a false conventional truth. The correct conventional truth is correct, because it is the staircase for ascending a great mansion. If it is not attachment to the real, then what kind of clinging to characteristics is it? If it is thought that it should be abandoned, Maitreya Bodhisattva will have dependent discriminating mind, divided into two, and with the example of medicine itself turning into poison, what is said is the mind that clings to emptiness. If all concepts are mistaken, therefore not valid cognition, then, apart from measuring what is free from all extremes fabricated by childish minds, what else do you seek? Nowhere has it been said that, inference is a valid cognition for measuring the measurable. Merely not deceiving the object of entry, is called valid cognition, but the object of entry is the self-character, sound and concepts cannot measure it. This system does not explain other-exclusion, and even if it does, it is only a nominal existence, therefore, it cannot be promised to cognize and measure through valid cognition. Inference relying on a sign, apart from the apprehended aspect that cuts off superimposition, and the apprehending aspect that holds its own nature, there is no other distinction. The aspect of holding is self-awareness, because it is direct perception, so it is not inference. When explaining the apprehended aspect as valid cognition, the object of entry is nominally established as the measurable, and explained as the result of self-awareness. Other-exclusion is not explained as the measurable. If the way inference becomes valid cognition, is not explained as different from direct perception, then, for the determiner of the hidden, what are the sign and valid cognition? After cutting off superimposition with reason, the self-character of the measurable, is neither existent, the universal is valid cognition, the way of measuring cannot be analyzed by reason. When establishing the apprehended aspect as valid cognition, establishing the universal as the measurable, the author of the 'Commentary on Valid Cognition', in any situation of valid cognition and result, has not explained it. Here, apart from wisdom, there are no three objects of the measurable, at that time, the proponent himself, what appears in consciousness is manifest, and the other's continuum and the Buddha's, wisdom are the two hidden ones. Whether relying on a sign or not, the appearance in the mindstream of others, because it is the apprehended aspect of one's own mind, it does not go beyond self-aware wisdom. It seems to establish the continuum of others, for beings with temporary defilements, it is like that, for the wisdom of the complete Buddha, for the complete Buddha it is not non-existent. If it is inferred that there are no sentient beings, then, if the container world is also, not existent in self-appearance, but existent in other-appearance, is there no contradiction? Then, sentient beings also, can be explained in that way? Why can't it be like that? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
