Nama Shri Maha Kala Nathaya (Homage to the Glorious Great Black One, the Protector). Supreme Guardians of the Sakya School, Vajra Tent Lord and Four-Faced Lord, this essential instruction of the torma, briefly summarized, for the benefit of the intelligent and fortunate, I shall write. Before arranging the torma as instructed, prepare the outer offerings, inner offerings, vajra bell, and other necessary items. Purify the torma with inner offering water and alcohol. First, perform the self-generation of any chosen deity, Recite: Om Vajra Amrita Kundali Hana Hana Hum Hum Hum Phet. Om Swabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Swabhava Shuddho 'Ham. Within emptiness, from 'Yam' arises wind, from 'Ram' arises a fire wheel, upon which, from 'Ah' arises a vast white skull cup, containing: the five meats transformed from the letters 'Go', 'Ku', 'Da', 'Ha', 'Na', and the five amritas transformed from the letters 'Bhrum', 'Am', 'Jrim', 'Kham', 'Hum'. Above them, seed syllables of the five Buddha families, possessing the nature of the five wisdoms. In the sky above, in the center of the sun disc, is a five-pronged white vajra marked with 'Hum', radiating light. The wind moves, the fire burns, melting and boiling, its vapor rises, and the letter 'Hum' descends a stream of amrita. Again, rays of light radiate in ten directions, inviting the non-dual wisdom amrita of all the Buddhas. 1-989 Absorbing into the vajra 'Hum', it drips down, its color, taste, and potency all perfected, transforming into a vast ocean of amrita. Form the Garuda hand mudra with both hands, and recite: Om Ah Hum Ha Ho Hrih. Three times. In the sky before you, in the center surrounded by the eight great charnel grounds, upon a lotus, sun disc, and red human corpse (head facing right), from the letter 'Hum' arises a dark blue vajra chopper, marked with 'Hum' on the handle, radiating light. Cutting through all злобный beings, gathering and converging, transforming into a vast, blazing Great Black Vajra. With a crown of various silks and a fluttering cloak, seated upon a corpse in a child-like posture. To his right is a black bird, to his left is a black dog, behind him is a jackal, and in front of him is a black person. Above, messengers emanated as dakinis are flying, wearing the crown of Akshobhya (immovable one), residing in the midst of blazing wisdom fire. To his left is Ekajati (one braid) transformed from 'ཊཾ་' (seed syllable), with a blue-black body, one face, and two hands holding a vase filled with nectar at her heart. In the midst of hundreds of thousands of Mamos (furious goddesses), Kandro (sky-goers), and flesh-eaters, proclaiming the sounds of 'ཧཱུྃ' (Hūṃ, seed syllable) and 'བྷྱོཿ' (Bhyoḥ, seed syllable). To the right of the Protector, on a lotus, sun disc, and corpse, from a curved knife marked with 'ཧཱུྃ' (Hūṃ, seed syllable) is transformed into Mahākāla (Great Black One), with four faces, four arms, and two legs.
