Then, he gave the oral instruction: 'Do as you see fit.' At that time, the wise men unanimously said: 'This year is your birth year, and looking at the divination, it seems best to do a long retreat this year to eliminate obstacles.' They repeatedly requested this, but he said: 'If I don't teach Lamdre (Lam 'bras, Path and Fruit) in bDe lDan cave this year, their Dharma connection may be cut off.' Once, while teaching in bDe lDan cave, he said: 'I received the Pure Land of Sukhavati (bDe ba can) painting of Jey Sempa Chenpo (rJe Sems dpa' chen po, Great Courageous Being) and the Sukhavati painting offered to me by Chöjé Kunga Chöden (Chos rje Kun dga' mchog ldan, Dharma Lord Kunga Chöden). Now I also need to build such a pure land.' So, he commissioned a painter named Musa Nag to paint the Sukhavati Pure Land on a ten-pillared canvas. In front of the statue of Amitabha ('Od dpag med), he said: 'Also paint a portrait of me.' After the portrait was completed, he carefully performed the consecration ceremony and said: 'Now there are three Sukhavati Pure Land paintings. I must recite the Samantabhadra's Prayer and seek refuge in these as my refuge at the end of my life.' On another occasion, a man named Lama Namchöpa (Bla ma Nam chos pa), who recited the Samantabhadra's Prayer every day, passed away. Jey Sempa Chenpo (rJe Sems dpa' chen po, Great Courageous Being) saw the Sukhavati Pure Land in a vision and found that Lama Namchöpa had also been reborn in Sukhavati. He said: 'If you recite the Samantabhadra's Prayer without interruption, you will surely be reborn in Sukhavati.' Near his passing, the attendants requested him to remain steadfast for the benefit of sentient beings and to find a way to prolong his life. He said: 'Although I do not have control over birth and death, I have not accumulated negative karma.' His meaning was not that he had not accumulated merit, but that he knew that he had not accumulated more common karma that would allow him to live longer for the benefit of sentient beings. It is like the Bodhisattvas who have the ability to know their previous lives, death, rebirth, karma, and aspirations. Afterwards, they asked him for instructions on how to act in the future. He instructed: 'The foundation and the conditions for the butter lamp offerings that the previous Lamas established for the Dharma assembly, these must be separated from others and must be completed separately. My family property and some small fields, these should be used for the previous Dharma assembly and butter lamp offerings.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since there is no partiality or mixture, the basis of my own era's offerings, the upper and lower monasteries consulted the Depa (local administrative official) and officials of Gedan Sa (monastery name) and ultimately completed the prophecies of the future. In the Deden (place name) cave, when the oral teachings were about to end, on the fourth day of the Hor month (Hor-zla, Tibetan seventh month), the Gro-zhin month (Gro-zhin-zla, constellation name), he showed signs of slight physical discomfort. The attendants requested to collect his teachings, and on the seventeenth day, he spoke of the visualization of the body mandala (lus dkyil) and the secret empowerment (gsang dbang). He said, 'I feel a little unwell, complete the remaining teachings, and let the listeners leave.' He wished to go to the Lingka (garden) Dewachen (Sukhavati, Pure Land). On the first day of the Hor month (Hor-zla, Tibetan eighth month), he set out from the Deden (place name) cave, stayed for two days, and then arrived at Lingka (garden). Before the morning of the fifth day, he showed signs of slight physical discomfort. Around noon, he seemed to recover somewhat, On the sixth day, he performed the Kunrig (kun rig, all-knowing wisdom) ritual for the mistress of the new north house (byang khang gsar ba) and some other deceased people, and burned the name plaques. He said that after the ritual was completed, he felt relieved. Thereafter, knowing that his work of taming beings and benefiting others in this life was complete, and in order to greatly benefit beings in other realms, to inspire renunciation in those with little wisdom who cling to permanence, on the tenth day of the Wood Monkey Year (shing pho spre'u'i lo), at dawn, he clearly explained the profound final instructions ('da' kha ma zab mo) spoken of in the Vajrayana (rdo rje theg pa) tantras. He saw the assembly of gurus, yidams, and dakinis abiding in the sky before him, making the gesture of the Treasure of Space (nam mkha' mdzod kyi phyag rgya), and his mind dissolved into the state of clear light ( 'od gsal) Mahamudra (phyag rgya chen po). On the dawn of the twelfth day, he arose from meditation and effortlessly went to Dewachen (Sukhavati, Pure Land), arriving before Je (honorific) Lama and his sons, about which there is no need for doubt. From then on, In front of the body, Khenpo (mkhan po) Konchok Rinchenpa (dkon mchog rin chen pa) of Gle-lung (place name) and the Dharma teacher (chos 'chad slob dpon) Rabjampa (rab 'byams pa) Thukjewa (thugs rje ba) of Deden (place name) cave, as well as the monk (dge slong) Jangchub (byang chub) who had recited one hundred million root mantras of Hevajra (kyཻ་rdo rྗེ་,梵文:Hevajra,梵文羅馬轉寫:Hevajra,字面意思:嘿瓦金刚), and two monks who had completed the recitation of the root mantra of Chakrasamvara ('khor lo bde mchog,梵文:Chakrasamvara,梵文羅馬轉寫:Chakrasamvara,字面意思:胜乐金刚), and twelve monks who had completed the basic recitation of Hevajra (bde kye), from the morning... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
