Thirdly, the ritual of entrusting life: Based on the previously explained offering and praise, after the disciple's affairs of bathing and dispelling obstacles are completed, various connections are made. This one known as the great Dharma-protecting King Pehar, in ultimate terms, although abiding in the essence of the five Tathagata Buddhas, in appearance, in the minds of the beings to be tamed, appears as the form of the five great wealth-owning kings, and for the operation of the four activities, possesses unobstructed and swift magical power, and is a messenger with vows. In immeasurable eons past, there was a royal lineage named Dharma Jwala, and the teacher became the son of a minister. The two were very friendly, and therefore prevented ordination. Having taken the vows of celibacy from Khenpo Moonlight, they stayed together. The king's son liked to teach, and the minister's son liked to meditate, so they were not harmonious. Later, the king's son united with a beautiful Brahmin woman, thus falling from celibacy. At this time, the elder and the minister's son spoke words of dissuasion, and the king's son became angry, and again retorted and threatened, and after countless untamed rebirths, was born into the evil Yaksha race. The minister's son became an Arhat named Lekden, who saw the truth of the nature of reality. At that time, also because of previous habits, he harmed and injured that monk. The Lord of Secrets and the monk himself seized the key point, tormented him and bound him, and promised to protect Buddhism. Later, in later times, in the kingdom of Tibet, the monarch Trisong Detsen invited special Khenpos and teachers, and when the light of the holy Dharma pervaded, the great teacher bound all evil Yakshas, especially this king made a prohibition and awakened his awareness, suppressed him with a severe seal, and valued him, offering the essence of life as ransom, thereby being empowered as the lord of the arrogant, and entrusted with the custody of the vows. In particular, the protector of the great Samye Monastery, when the Khenpo and teacher discussed, they agreed that this one was more special than other arrogant ones. The prince killed the son of the uncle.

When dispatched to guard the border for three years, the master summoned the great king Namtösé (Tibetan: རྣམ་ཐོས་སྲས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वैश्रवण, Sanskrit Romanization: Vaiśravaṇa, Chinese literal meaning: Son of Much Hearing) and his retinue to the sky in front, visible to all the rulers and subjects, and as if entrusting the task, subdued the Gurkha and Chinese armies. He destroyed the Barpa monastery of the Mongols, and after taking all the treasures, Pehar (Tibetan: པེ་ཧར་) and his retinue arrived and established a residence in Peharling (Tibetan: པེ་ཧར་གླིང་). He entrusted the monastic college, the Dharma wheel, and its treasures. He condensed the essence of the tantric practice, methods, instructions, and activities, and appointed the great Dharma king Pehar as the protector of the teachings, who is auspicious and dear inwardly, brave, fierce, and powerful outwardly, abides by his vows, and whose four activities are unimpeded, whose own form is clearly manifest to all, these are the Dharma cycles. Like the practice of the life-force empowerment vidyādhara lineage that came from the terma of the great master Nyangrel Pachan (Tibetan: ཉང་རལ་པ་ཅན་), the activities of the master precede the practice. The activities of the disciple are to offer a mandala and pray: HO! Lama, Great Glorious Wrathful Vajra! We do not understand the meaning of cause and effect, good and evil. For the sake of training in the realm of Dharma and wisdom, we offer this flower of awareness, please accept it, and grant us the great power of life over the arrogant! Pray in this way three times. Accumulate merit and confess sins as appropriate. The master, visualized as Vajrapani, purifies the disciple with light from his heart, transforming them into a point of light, which then becomes a blue HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: HUNG). The HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: HUNG) is completely transformed into the Lord of Secrets. The torma in front is generated as the great king and his retinue as before. They are invited with incense and music. After offering a seat, making vows, offering praise, etc., a HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: HUNG) syllable blazes on a lotus and sun disc in the disciple's heart. Light radiates from the master's heart, stimulating the mindstream of the front generation. From these, countless emanations identical to themselves arise. They pervade all worlds. They accomplish the desired activities. They dissolve into the heart of the front generation. As a result, the retinue, with great love of reverence and joy, prostrates like servants, and a garland of life mantras emanates from their mouths, visualizing it dissolving into the hook at the foot of the HUNG (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: HUNG) in the disciple's heart, led by the mantra of suppression: OM RAJA A (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning).
