The Sadhana and Empowerment of Rahula, the Planetary Demon The Sadhana and Empowerment of Rahula, the Planetary Demon Oṃ Svasti (藏文:ཨཱོྃ་སྭསྟི།,梵文天城体:ओṃ स्वस्ति,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svasti,汉语字面意思:Om, may there be well-being!). Secret Lord, Hero Vajradhara, arising in the form of great power and arrogance, subduing the wicked Rahula, I prostrate and explain the sadhana and empowerment ritual. Here, the empowerment associated with the great planetary demon Rahula has three parts: preparation, arrangement of materials, the actual method of practice, and the empowerment ritual. First, arranging the materials: At special times such as the eight periods of transit, in a secluded place, in front of a displayed painted image, on a platform, arrange a complete mandala with eight lotus petals in the center, and starting from the east, color the outer courtyard blue, yellow, red, and green. In the center, place the main deity, on the eight petals, the eight planets, in the courtyard, the twenty-eight constellations, and at the four gates, the seed syllables or collections of the four-faced mothers. In the center, on a stand, place a vase filled with complete ornaments and essence. In front, place a triangular empowerment torma, turning to the right, surrounded by eight identical mandalas. Adorn with red bali offerings, and erect a black arrow banner with tsakli. To its right and left are medicine and rakta. To the south are the four emblems of the main deity and a tsakli of a fire pile. To the north are the images and emblems of the eight planets of the retinue. To the west, arrange the offering tormas. Finally, surround with offerings such as the five sensual objects. Furthermore, gather all the necessary materials below. Second, the method of practice: First, generate oneself as a deity, such as the Secret Lord or any wrathful deity, and recite mantras. Bless the common and special offerings. Purify the supports in front. From emptiness, within a protective circle arising from the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुṃ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), in the midst of a turbulent ocean of blood and fat surrounded by a great unbearable charnel ground, from the syllable Ai (藏文:ཨེ,梵文天城体:ऐ,梵文罗马拟音:ai,汉语字面意思:Ai), a dark blue triangle equal to space, in the center, on a lotus, sun, and enemy seat, transforms into the color of Tiduva. The great planetary demon Rahula, with a smoky body, nine heads and ten faces, and the faces of crows. Each face has three red, round, glaring, angry eyes. Extremely fierce, with gaping mouths and bared fangs. The tongue flickers like lightning, and uttering terrifying roars, devouring enemies. Eyebrows
