The Sadhana and Anujna of White Saraswati. The Sadhana and Anujna of White Saraswati. Om Swasti! From the mind-ocean of the Protector of the World, Saraswati arises like the moon. Dispelling the darkness of ignorance from the minds of beings, I prostrate and briefly explain the sadhana. Here, in connection with the sadhana of the Holy Mother Saraswati, the ritual of Anujna is performed in three parts: the arrangement of preparatory materials, the actual method of practice, and the ritual of Anujna. First, arranging the materials: In a secluded and agreeable place, on an auspicious date, a square platform of one cubit and two fingers is smeared with five fragrant substances. Saffron, musk, camphor, and sandalwood are mixed together and sprinkled. On top of that, on a base like a mandala, using white or red milk, the three white substances and the four mixed honeys are combined to draw an eight-petaled lotus, with (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrih, hrīḥ, Hrih) in the center and sixteen vowels arranged on the eight petals. Press white rice flour over the drawing to make the shape of the mandala clear. Mix the three white substances, the three sweet substances, and the four honeys, and make nine Tinglopa of zan, filled with butter and honey, with branches, arranged in the center and on the eight petals, equal to the number of students. In front, arrange two white offerings, large and small, and a torma of changbu. Arrange extensive offerings that are pure and excellent. Second, the method of practice: Residing in a clean place, after bathing, sit on a comfortable seat. First, cultivate refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables, and then purify with svabhava. From within emptiness, visualize the dwelling place as the basis for gods, sages, gandharvas, and accomplished ones to rely on. In the center of mountains, forests, medicinal fields, and delightful places. Within a white and clear ocean of milk. From (པཾ་, pam, paṃ, Pam) arises a white lotus stem with blooming petals. Above the lunar mandala from (ཨ་, a, ā, A). From the white (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrih, hrīḥ, Hrih) arises the goddess of sound, Saraswati, with a white body, one face, and two arms.
