On the ground of the primordial purity, the all-pervading beryl realm, within the beautiful palace of spontaneously accomplished five wisdom lights, to the supreme body of the wisdom essence, Samantabhadra Lama, without separation, I respectfully prostrate and request the granting of permission. The realm of beings, the clear mirror of the Sugata-garbha, the self-illuminating five rays of wisdom appear, whatever is obscured by the two obscurations of ignorance, may it be clarified by the light of the instruction's sun. In the vase of the great emptiness of all dharmas, for the sake of maturing the abiding of the five wisdom bodies, those with intelligence should not fail to enter this, therefore I am delighted to explain this inconceivable [teaching]. Furthermore, the ultimate of all instructions, the means of accomplishing Buddhahood in one lifetime, the essence of the Great Perfection, which brings forth the measure of signs in just months and years, this path of the four visions, the practice of Tögal, has three parts: preliminary, main practice, and concluding practice. First, regarding the establishing of the view, although the extensive explanation has been shown elsewhere, here also it is briefly summarized: purify the mind-stream with the thought of renunciation, establish the foundation of refuge and bodhicitta, and gather the good interdependent circumstances of the Lama and the student. Having seen the Lama as the actual Buddha, the person who has received the four empowerments free from elaboration should go to a secluded place and meditate: Emaho! All sentient beings of the three realms of samsara, their basis is the primordial purity, Samantabhadra, their path is the spontaneously accomplished Vajrasattva, their fruit is the essence of the five families, abiding without decrease or increase, the great power of self-born wisdom, by the distinction of awareness and unawareness, samsara and nirvana turn their backs on each other.
