The Quintessential Instructions on the Great Perfection of Clear Light, the Completion Stage of the Wisdom Holder Padmasambhava, from the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles: Molten Gold. Padma Garwangchug. The Quintessential Instructions on the Great Perfection of Clear Light, the Completion Stage of the Wisdom Holder Padmasambhava, from the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles: Molten Gold. Padma Garwangchug. Thus abides the text called "Molten Gold: Quintessential Instructions on the Great Perfection of Clear Light, the Completion Stage of the Wisdom Holder Padmasambhava, from the Guru's Heart Practice that Dispels All Obstacles." Namo Guru Padmakaraya (藏文,梵文天城体,guru padmākarāya,梵文罗马拟音,Homage to the Guru Padmakara). The great vehicle of effortless certainty, the vajra lineage endowed with six liberations, proclaiming the nature of reality as its own sound, I bow to the feet of Kunsang Padma. Making manifest the path in one lifetime, striving for the primordial ground of liberation, the heart essence of the ocean of instructions is to unfold the root intention. To show the supreme path, the single journey of all buddhas, the very pinnacle of the nine vehicles, the Great Perfection of Clear Light, the teacher who explains must possess empowerment and samaya, and be endowed with the realization of Trekchö and Tögal. The student who is the object of explanation must possess faith, diligence, and wisdom, and having severed the ties of this life, practice according to the guru's command. The place must be naturally virtuous and secluded, free from obstacles to meditation. The time must be when the teacher and student gather in auspicious connection, or when the temperature is mild and wisdom arises easily. The companions must have pure samaya, pure perception, and loving-kindness. When conducive circumstances and resources are gathered, one should strive in teaching, listening, and practice, as stated in the Great Self-Arisen Awareness Tantra. To directly show the way to explain the profound pith instructions, there are three aspects: what intention should be practiced is shown; how to practice is explained with practical instructions; and how liberation is attained through such practice is spoken of. The first is: From the root vajra words: "The ultimate supreme completion stage is the ground, the essence of primordial purity, uncompounded; the ground's appearance, spontaneous presence, dawns as the path; indivisible, manifest, it ripens as the fruit; this is the intention of the Great Perfection of Clear Light." As it is said, the general ground of samsara and nirvana, the essence of the ground, primordial purity, uncompounded, from the self-radiance of the nature of awareness, the eight doors of the ground's appearance, spontaneous presence, dawn, and from the stirring of the play of compassion, samsara and nirvana...

Of the path, various appearances arise, and the difference between liberation and delusion appears due to the difference between realizing and not realizing one's own nature. Through the blessings of the Lama and profound instructions, when the realization of the inseparability of the basis of primordial purity and the spontaneously present basis-appearance manifests, delusion recedes, and the appearance of the expanse dissolves into the nature of reality. In the original state of liberation, the fruit of twofold purity ripens. This is the single intention of the sixty-four myriads of tantras of the Great Perfection of Luminosity. Second, the practical instructions on how to practice are twofold: preliminary practices to tame one's own mind-stream, and the actual practice. First, the preliminary practices are twofold: common and uncommon. The first is: As stated in the *Following the Departed*, "Cultivate impermanence, compassion, and bodhicitta." That is, the root of the Mahayana path is the precious bodhicitta, which has two aspects. To generate it in one's mind-stream, first, contemplate the impermanence and destructibility of the outer world, the inner beings, and one's own body. Then, contemplate the difficulty of obtaining the support of leisure and endowment, the infallibility of karma, and the long and heavy suffering of samsara and the lower realms after death. Turn away from attachment to the meaningless pleasures of this life, and with a strong intention to be free from all existence and peace, take refuge in the Three Jewels and the root lamas from now until enlightenment. Generate the mind of enlightenment with the cause of relative aspiration and action, and cultivate the mind of ultimate enlightenment as the result. To purify the obstacles to the arising of experience and realization, diligently engage in the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva with the four powers complete. To gather conducive conditions, offer the outer, inner, and secret mandalas in a union of the two accumulations. To forcefully bring in blessings, with intense, unfeigned devotion, make the guru yoga supplication and its essence the focus of practice. If you wish to precede the generation stage in accordance with the general tradition of the Unsurpassed Yoga Tantra, then at this time, there is no need for much elaborate distraction. With the yoga of self-generation, it serves as the support or essence of the six extraordinary dharmas.
