The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of Practice, Precious and Auspicious. The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of Practice, Precious and Auspicious. The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel of Practice is present. To the six protectors who are the embodiment of compassion, I prostrate with reverence through my three doors. In order to lead the fortunate ones onto the path, I will explain the order of practice. There are four parts to it: First, to renounce the appearances of this life and strive for liberation, the teaching of renunciation is presented. Second, to entrust the mind to the Three Jewels and embark on the path of the Great Vehicle, the teachings of refuge and the generation of bodhicitta are presented. Third, to eliminate obstacles and adverse conditions and to perfect the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, the accumulation of the mandala and Kusulu offerings are presented. Fourth, to swiftly purify the three obscurations and manifest the three kayas, the purification of obscurations through the hundred-syllable mantra is presented. The first is: Sit comfortably on a pleasant seat in a place that pleases the mind. First and foremost, as the preliminary to all dharmas, it is crucial to contemplate not just superficially, but with heartfelt conviction, the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment, the ease with which they are lost, the impermanence of death, and the suffering of the six realms of samsara. Samsara is a continuous cycle of suffering, without any time for liberation. Even contemplating the suffering of each of the six realms causes the heart to ache. There is no other way to escape from these sufferings except for the sacred Dharma. But if the practice of Dharma is postponed until there is leisure, there is no certainty whether one will die today or tomorrow. Think carefully, today a person with a rosy complexion, with a bright and cheerful face, tomorrow may become a stiff, black corpse. There are countless such cases. Those people never even thought that they would die tomorrow. There is no reliance on the body composed of the four elements, not even for the duration of a meal. The breath is like a mere puff of air, the warmth is like a spark of fire, and life is like a lasso, which can be cut off in an instant. It is truly astonishing. Think carefully! All those who were born in the past have died. All those who will be born in the future will also die. All those who are present on this earth now will also die, collapsing like a crumbling cliff. There is no distinction between young and old in terms of age. There is no distinction between good and bad in terms of appearance. Death is certain, and there is no certainty as to when it will occur. One must leave behind relatives and unfinished conversations, unfinished tasks, un-worn clothes, un-eaten food, un-slept beds, and all bodily possessions, including the body itself. He died, she died, there is no one who can escape such words.

When the time comes to depart alone from the midst of the crowd, like pulling a hair from butter, alas, I am truly afraid! Death cannot end it either, there is no place to go. There is no dwelling, nor are there convenient conditions to prepare. The place to go does not go beyond the six realms. If one is born in hell, there is no time for liberation for many eons. What certainty do I have that I will not be born in the hell realms? If there is no Dharma in this life, then there is no doubt that one will fall into the lower realms. Therefore, one should strive diligently in virtuous deeds without laziness, like a sick person thirsting for water. Thus, at the beginning of each session, one should contemplate well in this way. Secondly, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta are extremely important. There is nothing other than the Three Jewels that can protect from the above-mentioned sufferings. Although the Three Jewels of true meaning abide in all beings, they have not become certain due to karmic obscurations. Therefore, in the appearance of faith, visualize that all the refuge places in the sky in front are dense like clouds. With oneself and one's parents as the main ones, may all sentient beings, like enemies wishing to be freed from a prison pit, do so with sincere faith that is not just lip service. Namo! I prostrate and take refuge in the assembly of the six deities of the Lama Jewels, I and all sentient beings of the six realms, until enlightenment. I prostrate and take refuge in the Buddhas who benefit beings continuously in the past, future, and present. I prostrate and take refuge in the Dharma, which is peaceful, free from attachment, and the ultimate truth, the irreversible path for the sake of the three vehicles. I prostrate and take refuge in the Sangha, the unerring path, the field of all supreme qualities, the noble assembly far removed from the defilements of afflictions. I prostrate and take refuge in the Lamas, the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, the chief of the supreme secret mandala. I prostrate and take refuge in the Yidam deities, who are the Dharmakaya, unborn, and free from the extremes of elaboration, but who manifest in peaceful and wrathful forms for the benefit of beings. I prostrate and take refuge in the assembly of Dakinis, who bestow great bliss from the pure realms and grant supreme accomplishments to those who keep their vows. Distinguishing between good and bad, guarding vows, and acting as companions who follow the teachings,
