This rare and precious garland, the excellent path of the close lineage Dakinis, the ripening instructions of the secret essence of the heart, clearly explains the meaning of the ancient texts. Before the instructions of the Secret Path of the Dakinis, the common ripening initiation to benefit the fortunate ones has three parts: the preparation of the necessary implements, the actual empowerment ritual, and the subsequent activities to be performed. First, in a secluded and qualified place, such as the tenth day of the waxing or waning moon, on a platform sprinkled with incense and the five elixirs, arrange the mandala of the thirteen deities of Krodha, with Vajra fences and fire mountains, either painted on cloth or with colored powders. If that is not possible, use piles of grains, with one large one in the center, four behind it, and eight behind those, arranging the thirteen deities of the retinue. In the center, place a vase with a dark blue neck cord. White in the east, yellow in the south, red in the west, and green in the north. All are adorned with essence and ornaments. In front of each of the five vases, place a tsakli of the five families of Dakinis. Behind them, place large, ornamented Dakini tormas, with medicine and alcohol on the right and left. Arrange two sets of water offerings and the necessary articles in front. Second, the actual empowerment ritual: First, begin with the offering of the meaning of empowerment, starting from the beginning of the practice text of the thirteen deities of Krodha Nagmo. Generate and dissolve oneself and the deities in front as inseparable, and perform extensive prostrations and offerings.
