Possessing the auspicious marks of a child, adorned with a topknot, and bearing a jewel on the crown, I invite the Dragon Kings with their retinues to come to this place. I respectfully offer, praise, and prostrate. By the truth of the Buddha, I urge the Nagas. Remember the power and strength of the Three Jewels. Dragon Kings, Bodhisattvas, may you send down great rains upon this Jambudvipa. Cause plants, crops, and fruits to flourish. To the Eight Classes of landholders of Jambudvipa with their retinues, and to the gods, nagas, and landowners dwelling in this region, I offer clouds of incense that produce all desires. May you be pleased and satisfied, and possess loving-kindness. Victorious One possessing the ten powers, together with your children, appearing clearly as if present before my eyes, I respectfully prostrate and confess my non-virtues and sins. To all miserable beings, generate compassion, and at this time, remember your powerful vows. By the truth of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, the power of mantra and mudra, and the blessings of emptiness and profound dependent arising, today I urge the Dragon Kings and their retinues. May the great clouds that pervade the heavenly realms appear as a form of stacked blue jewel mountains, with a belt of beautiful red lightning flashing, accompanied by the gentle sound of pleasing thunder, a stream of rain that brings wonderful joy and happiness, I pray that you bestow inexhaustible desires. May the essence of nectar nourish the earth and make crops grow, may plants and medicines be endowed with power, may the outer and inner worlds increase in splendor and wealth. May the gods in the sky abide with loving hearts, may the nagas in the intermediate space be busy with dances of joy, may the people on earth utter sounds of joy, may auspicious signs be seen quickly. May disease, famine, and war be pacified in the world, may joy and happiness pervade like the Golden Age, and may the light of the Victorious One's teachings never fade but always flourish. Margana! Ni ra hi ka dharma ta shuddha! Loka biti ma ri ra dza sa! Duhkha shama na sarva buddha ava lokana adhishthite prajna jnana bhe svaha! In addition, by offering clean clothes and food, along with any clean offerings, and reciting the mantra, or simply reciting it naturally, rain will fall.
