A Ritual Offering to the Field God Brahma Related to Yangskyab (Prosperity Invocation), Called "The Vase of Fulfilling Desires, Limitless Benefit for Others." Written by Karma Tenzin Trinley. A Ritual Offering to the Field God Brahma Related to Yangskyab (Prosperity Invocation), Called "The Vase of Fulfilling Desires, Limitless Benefit for Others." Written by Karma Tenzin Trinley. Herein Resides the Treatise Called "The Vase of Fulfilling Desires, Limitless Benefit for Others," Related to the Ritual Offering and Yangskyab (Prosperity Invocation) of the Field God Brahma. By relying on him, supreme accomplishments are bestowed, With inexhaustible desires, the hopes of self and others are fulfilled. To the Field God Brahma, father, mother, and children, I prostrate with reverence, bestowing all auspiciousness. Here, through the door of the Great Field God Brahma, who is an emanation in the form of subduing whatever harm-inflicting spirits, as a means to greatly increase the inexhaustible essence of the earth and the accumulation of grains. First, on an auspicious astrological date or a special time when the Field God travels, in the center or above a good field, construct a square platform surrounded by a lush green fence and a flourishing flower garden. Also, decorate it beautifully with fruit-bearing trees, silk ribbons, and woolen threads. In its center, draw a four-petaled lotus with colored powders. Outside of that, draw an eight-petaled lotus with a surrounding border, marked with dots as the abode of the deities. The medium one is painted on cloth. The lower one has five and eight piles of good grains arranged in the center. On top of a "Manjil" (a type of stand), place a precious vessel. Make dough from flour mixed with five types of grains and three pure white substances. In the center is a round water mandala. On top of that is a square earth mandala, marked with Mount Meru in the center. Decorate it with an eight-petaled lotus in full bloom, in the form of a stamen-like torma, in the shape of uncultivated crops or auspicious barley grains. Adorn it beautifully with leaves, sun and moon, and jewel ornaments. Above the round water mandala, starting from the east, arrange clockwise: ears of grain with flourishing tips, swirling joy, the shape of jewels, and medicinal foods. In front of it, place a vase-shaped object, and on the right, left, and back, place three round food offerings each. In the four corners, place four curved food offerings each. The main torma, the image of the deity, and a yellow silk umbrella decorated with a precious finial. Inside the yellow Yang-gel (prosperity box), place five types of grains, five types of precious substances, and soil, water, and wood from many great monasteries and sacred sites in China and Tibet.

Medicinal incense, rock candy honey, armor, ears of wheat, uncultivated crops, land from a good field, wealth and possessions taken from the treasury of a great king, food from a grand feast, the essence of prosperity from many horses, livestock, and wealth, an eight-sided Manshel, the lama's virtuous friend's head covering and food offering cloth, filled with blessed objects, medicinal substances, samaya substances, and other extraordinary items, adorned with yellow silk banners, fashioned as a support for prosperity. If complete, the above substances are placed in a yellow vase, mainly the life mantras in order of importance, wealth deities, earth deities, Naga dharanis, etc., are wrapped around the life-tree as is customary, and decorated with paints that are not destroyed by moisture. A five-colored or yellow arrow adorned with feathers and a mirror. In front, a torma offering in the shape of a jewel, surrounded by four or eight small tormas, with the edges piled high with various grains, a plowing yoke decorated with silk ribbons, a plow, a grain container, a man in ornate clothing, etc., it is very important that all conducive substances are complete. Offerings and incense substances should be arranged cleanly and beautifully. If you want to simplify and accomplish quickly, the main support torma, surrounded by four or eight small tormas, whatever torma offerings are available, arrows, banners, incense, and daily necessities are sufficient. If you want to be very elaborate, then as mentioned above, the torma of the harvest ceremony, and the preliminary rituals, such as self-generation, are all sufficient. If this is not done, then any deity practice must be done in advance. Because one abides in the yoga of the deity, sprinkle Amrita incense water on the object of visualization in front.
