The Ritual of the Three Longevity Deities, A Joyful Feast of Attaining Immortality. Written by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. The Ritual of the Three Longevity Deities, A Joyful Feast of Attaining Immortality. Written by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. Herein lies the Ritual of the Three Longevity Deities, called A Joyful Feast of Attaining Immortality. Oṃ Svasti Siddhaṃ. By the excellent entry of compassion, may the fully endowed clouds that bestow all auspicious things of existence and peace, and the assembly of the immortal longevity deities, shower down a rain of ever-virtuous flowers. Relying on that profound yoga, the means of increasing the two accumulations, may the supreme joyful feast of attaining immortality bestow glory on the fortunate ones. This has three parts: preparation, main part, and conclusion. The first has two parts: preparation not included in the ritual, and preparation included in the ritual. The first is: In a place that is auspicious and secluded, pleasing to the mind, and well-cleaned, arrange the general supports of the Three Jewels, and in particular, images and sculptures of the three immortal longevity deities, as appropriate. In front of them, arrange preliminary offerings such as two water offerings, and in particular, five hundred or however many offerings of flowers and so on, arranged purely and beautifully. Also, gather all the materials needed below, such as the materials for the mandala and torma, perfumed water, and various musical instruments. The second, the preparation included in the ritual, has three parts: blessing the place and materials, taking refuge, and generating bodhicitta. The first is: Generate strong renunciation and compassion, and while keeping the qualities of the Three Jewels in mind, keep mindfulness close to the state of emptiness and dependent arising as inseparable. By the truth of the Three Jewels, the power of the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the glory of the power of the complete two accumulations, and the power of the truth of the completely pure Dharmadhatu, like the richness of the pure land of Sukhavati, in this vast and wonderful arrangement that captivates the mind, may the clouds of offerings transformed by actual arrangements, mantra, awareness, and the power of faith, fill everything and be used. Thus, recite the words of the power of truth, and Namo Ratna Trayaya. Oṃ Namo Bhagavate Vajra Sara Pramardane, Tathagataya Arhate Samyaksambuddhaya. Tadyatha

Tā. Oṃ vajre vajre, mahā vajre, mahā tejo vajre, mahā vidyā vajre, mahā bodhicitta vajre, mahā bodhimaṇḍopa saṃkramaṇa vajre, sarva karma āvaraṇa viśodhana vajre svāhā. Recite the cloud of offering mantra three times to bless it. Secondly, taking refuge: In front of the refuge field filling the sky, all sentient beings, self and others, are present, and with a single-pointed mind, take refuge. I and all sentient beings equal to space, from this time until the essence of enlightenment, to the supreme Lama and the Three Jewels, with unwavering great reverence, I take refuge. Recite as much as possible. Thirdly, generating the mind of enlightenment: In order to liberate all beings from the fear of samsara and nirvana, I shall attain perfect Buddhahood. For that purpose, I will perform the ritual of increasing the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. Recite three times, clearly establishing the aspiration and practice of bodhicitta. And meditate on the four immeasurables: May all sentient beings have happiness, etc. Secondly, the main part has three: visualizing the field of merit, offering the seven branches, and urging the commitment of the deity through recitation. First is: Oṃ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātmako'haṃ. All vessels and contents are in an invisible clear light state. From the play of union meditation, the outer vessel is the pure land of Sukhavati. On the basis of a delightful and wonderful arrangement, in the space in front of oneself, who appears as an ordinary being, in the midst of a sea of abundant offering clouds, on a white lotus moon cushion, the root guru is in order to bestow the supreme life and wisdom, appearing as the form of the Bhagavan Arya Wish-Fulfilling Wheel. On the characteristics of the stainless moon and jewel, she has the beauty of extreme peace and sixteen years of age. One face, two arms, three eyes, and the palms of the hands and feet are marked with wisdom eyes. Adorned with the gaze of the seven limbs of enlightenment. The right hand bestows the supreme, raining down all things of benefit and happiness from the complete great cloud. The left hand holds an utpala flower, symbolizing the Tathagatas of the three times, which snatches away the fear of samsara and nirvana. Wearing a white upper garment and a red skirt, adorned with various precious jewels. The moon is the back support, residing in the vajra posture. On her crown is the family lord.
