From the heart, rays of various colors emanate, and from the Buddha's realm in the east, the eight Sugata Medicine Buddhas, the large ones as big as Mount Meru, the small ones as small as white mustard seeds, their speech as garlands of mantras, their hearts as bowls filled with haritaki and nectar, immeasurably descending like a blizzard of snow, dissolving into you like snow falling on a lake. Thus, with one-pointed devotion, think that you will receive the blessings of the eight Sugata Medicine Buddhas and their retinues, and the kindness of their prayers, right now. May the Tathagata, the King of Auspiciousness, whose name is perfectly proclaimed, bless you. May the Buddha, adorned with jewels, the moon, and the lotus, the King of Sound, the Glorious Expert, bless you. Please reverse all bad words and misfortunes. Please increase all auspiciousness and well-being. When dying, please be born in the pure Buddha land and quickly become a Buddha. Then scatter flowers. Like the sun, dispel the darkness of ignorance, like the moon, dispel the suffering of afflictions, the Medicine Buddha who eliminates the diseases of the three poisons, may the light of lapis lazuli be auspicious! Now, for the meaning of the mantra recitation lineage, please follow me in reciting with the intention of offering each of you a garland of flowers. World Honored One, please accept me, please guide me. Three times or once. Now visualize the mantra garland, the color of molten lapis lazuli, emanating from the heart of the guru and the visualized deity, entering your mouths, and abiding around the hum at your heart, and then repeat this mantra. tadyathā: oṃ bhaiṣajye bhaiṣajye mahā bhaiṣajye rāja samungate svāhā (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: thus, om, bekadze, bekadze, maha bekadze, raja, samungate, svaha). Recite once or three times. Then visualize the mantra garland transforming into a garland of flowers, tied on the crown of your head. Hold the vajra on the crown of your head. World Honored One, please bestow this, please guide this. May the blessings and vows of the Tathagata Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Light King Buddha now enter and be firmly established in these vajra disciples. oṃ supratiṣṭha vajrāye svāhā (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: om, su, prati, shta, vajraye, svaha). Look at all beings with the eye of wisdom, pervade all beings with the eye of compassion, the Medicine Buddha who eliminates the diseases of the three poisons, may the light of lapis lazuli be auspicious! Scatter flowers in this way. Thus, the empowerment of the Sugata Medicine Buddha is well received. From now on, prostrate to the Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Light King Buddha. Reciting this one hundred times is superior, twenty-one times is medium, and at least seven times without interruption, then all diseases will be pacified and will not recur, and in the future, one will not fall into the lower realms. Even if one falls into the lower realms due to heavy sins, one will immediately obtain the body of a god or human in the happy realms, and gradually attain Bodhi. Therefore, the World Honored One said in the sutra, do not forget to recite this name.
