Here, to briefly explain the method of accomplishing the two benefits through the gate of the Buddha Medicine Buddha, a treasure revealed by Longsal, there are three: self-generation practice, front-generation offering, and the ritual of blessing empowerment. First, taking refuge: Namo! I and all sentient beings who have been my mothers, to the Sugatas, the Bhagavan Medicine Buddha of the ten directions, with the three doors, I offer and respectfully take refuge, I pray to protect from diseases caused by past karma and sudden circumstances. Three times. Generating the mind of enlightenment: In order to liberate sentient beings equal to space from disease and suffering, I will accomplish the state of the Medicine Buddha. With whatever is to be tamed, with the nectar of the sacred Dharma, may all suffering and disease in space be pacified. Three times, and meditate on the four immeasurables as common. Dyathā. Oṃ bhaiṣajye bhaiṣajye mahābhaiṣajye bhaiṣajye rājasamudgate svāhā. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) By this, circumambulate to the right. Clearly visualize this and recite. When clear appearance arises, radiate and gather: From the mantra garland, rays of various colors radiate to all the Buddha fields. Generate joy with offering clouds like oceans that benefit sentient beings. Then, again, all the compassion and blessings of those are absorbed into the Hūṃ syllable at the heart of the deity and the Arura fruit in the bowl, making them completely perfect. Meditate and recite that all the compassion, power, blessings, wisdom, might, strength, qualities, and activities of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions are gathered into the essence-filled nectar and the nature of the power of medicine. Again, rays of light strike all sentient beings of the six realms. Purify all the great suffering diseases of the hot and cold hells, the hunger and thirst of the pretas, the ignorance of the animals, the four kinds of conflicts of humans, the fighting of the asuras, and the suffering of death, transference, and falling of the gods. Focus on this and recite. When only practicing self-generation, strive for that until the number of hundreds of thousands is reached. At the end of the session, complete the deficiencies and gather into clear light. In the breaks between sessions, arise as the deity and dedicate and make aspirations. Second, the front generation: On a clean platform, if there is a painted thangka of a peaceful mandala of any of the Sutra or Tantra traditions, spread it out. If not, place seven flower arrangements on a maṇḍala plate, and on a small table above it, place a jeweled vessel containing a pure torma in the shape of an Arura fruit, decorated with ornaments, mixed with good medicine and elixirs. In front, arrange two water offerings and as many of the offering substances as possible. If it is related to empowerment, then on the right side of it, place a vase with a blue neck ribbon, filled with the essence of twenty-five substances. On the left side, etc., place a rosary, a vajra, a bowl filled with Arura fruits, and a container filled with various medicines, either as actual objects or as representations (tsakali). After the self-generation recitation is completed, purify all the offerings. From emptiness, in the palace of the great liberation abode, all the offering substances become like the offering clouds that arise from the conduct of the noble Samantabhadra, equal to the sky. Recite Oṃ Vajra Argham Āḥ Hūṃ up to Shabda, and also the dhāraṇī mantra of the offering clouds. Purify the support in front. Āḥ! The place, implements, vessels, essence, etc., are as before. Become clear.
