Ninth, averting curses: Fill a tortoise shell with effigies of enemies and obstacles. Place twenty-one various arrow banners. The arrow banner is a black snake and a medicine tablet. Twenty-one branches, with a garuda sculpted on top. Raise the umbrella. Tenth, fulfilling with Mount Meru and a sheep: A four-tiered Mount Meru, with a topknot on the peak, symbolizing the directions. On the peak is a peacock, a black sheep with a silk neck scarf, fourteen brown women, four horses, thirteen arrow banners, and various offerings. Raise the umbrella from above. Thus, whichever of the ten tormas is offered, the practitioner, possessing altruistic bodhicitta, should sit on a comfortable seat. Preceded by refuge and bodhicitta, having perfectly accomplished the self-generation of any of the three roots, along with offerings, praises, and recitations, then bless the tormas with the six mantras and six mudras. Generate the vast intention of filling the guests with the wealth of all desired things that satisfy them. Beat the drum fiercely and enter the torma ritual. Whichever of the ten tormas is offered, recite the upper and lower sections.
