Du. After falling into the three lower realms, they utter unbearable cries. The words of the great self-mastered Buddha, if transgressed, will be reduced to dust. Therefore, great obstacle, you must leave and not violate the oath! Thus it is said. Twelfth, requesting departure: Then, the effigies are circled around the patient and the benefactor three times, and it is thought that they have taken away all the illnesses, evil spirits, decay, and fears, and have returned to their own places. Led by incense and golden libation, they should be taken to the place where the evil direction is sent. Hum. King of obstacles, four great demons, listen to the command of the great truth! You, the white one who acts as a god and demon, move to a place where there is nothing! You, the black death lord demon, move to the realm of infinite space! You, the red affliction demon, move to the realm of infinite consciousness! You, the yellow aggregate demon, move to the realm of neither existence nor non-existence! King of demons and retinue, arising from the four obscurations, do not harm this assembly! Move to the realm of the four kinds of birth in the twelve sources! Samaya pra beshaya ja ja. Oath, enter, ja ja) By this, discard the effigies. Recite the Heart Sutra and recite the dharani mantra, consecrate with protection, and seal with the three spheres non-objective.

When Indra was afflicted by illness, he prayed to the Teacher, the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan, knowing that he was afflicted by the four maras, performed this Hundred and Four Ritual. Indra was liberated from his illness and placed in happiness. Thus, this ritual, which possesses great benefits, is known as the Hundred and Four because of its substance. This ritual fell into the hands of the noble Nagarjuna and was hidden as a treasure in the monkey-shaped pillar base of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya). Five hundred panditas extracted it and bestowed it upon Nub Sangye Yeshe Rinpoche. He brought it to Tibet and greatly expanded the activities of benefiting others. This ritual also has different versions, such as the Sutra tradition and the Tantra tradition. This one is the tradition that is famous as the Sutra tradition. Another Tantra tradition, extracted from the Black Yamari Tantra and taken from Vajrasana, is said to have been practiced by the early lamas of the different letter traditions, who are said to have been transmitted from the Great Orgyen (Padmasambhava) and others. This is evident in the old writings. Such a ritual can eliminate the pegs of the Bon religion, curses, the increase of enemies, the bad luck of beings, the inability to close the eyes of the dead, livestock diseases and losses, the spread of epidemics in the area, and especially the possession of evil spirits and pretas, death caused by evil stars, the decline of body, life, power, and authority, the decline of lungta, great disasters, and the incurable nature of sriu and diseases. In short, it has inconceivable benefits, such as eliminating all unfavorable obstacles. Nowadays, the Hundred and Four Ritual seems to be very popular, but some rituals are mixed with death ransoms and Mama's ransom rituals, and only the recitation is increased, which is taken as the core. Some have reduced the verses to a very small amount. Therefore, it is very rare to find rituals that preserve the original form of the ancient texts without adulteration, and it is difficult to trust their reliability. However, when arranging the framework of the ancient texts, it seems that the traces of additions and subtractions in each period can be identified. After purification, it has been compiled into a readable version, which is considered reliable in this day and age. Thus, this Hundred and Four Ritual - Accomplishing Wishes - is also with the intention of benefiting those who practice this ritual, as well as benefiting monks and practitioners.
