The Subduing Ritual: Emaho! In the first aeon of the past, the knife arose from the realm of the gods; then it spread to all six realms. Although it arose in this way in the past, for the sake of guiding those who have passed away, the hatred of the knife in the realm of hell is the weapon of the lords of death. It may exist as a knife of heat, cold, and weapons. From the emanation of the Bhagavan's mind, King Vajrapani, the Lord of Dharma, emanates in various forms, subduing heat and cold, and pacifying the aeon of weapons. The torma from Om Ah Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om Ah Hum), is a collection of desirable qualities and enjoyments; I offer it to Vajrapani and the Dharma King. I pray that you protect me from the knife of hell. With the ransom torma of desirable qualities from Om (藏文:ཨོཾ།,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om), I purify the karmic debts of the knife of hell. The conceptual knife of heat, cold, and weapons, I elevate to the realm of aimless, primordial purity. May it not harm me in the future! The obscurations of karmic affinity reside in the form of the letter Duḥ (藏文:དུཿ,梵文天城体:दुःख,梵文罗马拟音:duḥkha,汉语字面意思:Suffering). With the fire of wisdom and compassion, I burn them in the state of aimless, primordial purity. With the stream of wisdom and compassion, I wash away all habitual obscurations. May all sins and obscurations be purified! Listen, you who have passed away! From this place down to the hells, whatever appears and whatever you remember now is only delusion and perversion. Cut off all habitual entanglements, and remember the Great Compassionate One! Make supplications, and you will be liberated! From Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) comes the stupa of enlightenment, in the vase of which are Vajrapani and the Dharma King, dwelling before them. The deceased abide in the form of gods. By the perfect turning of the wheel of the seat, the evil spirits of the knife are reduced to ashes. For the transference of the name card: Hum (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)! All sentient beings, all pretas, mostly ghosts wandering in the sky, dying from being beaten by ghost tamers, dying from hunger, and so on, hate the knife. At that time, the Great Compassionate One protected them with the light of compassion. The torma from Om Ah Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om Ah Hum), is a collection of desirable qualities and enjoyments; I offer it to Avalokiteshvara with blazing face. I pray that you protect me from the knife of hunger. With the ransom torma of desirable qualities from Om (藏文:ཨོཾ།,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om), I purify the karmic debts of the knife of the pretas. I elevate the evil ghosts of the hunger knife elsewhere. May it not harm me in the future! The obscurations of karmic affinity reside in the form of the letter Preḥ (藏文:པྲེཿ,梵文天城体:प्रे,梵文罗马拟音:pre,汉语字面意思:Praise). With the fire of wisdom and compassion, I burn them in the state of aimless, primordial purity. With the stream of wisdom and compassion, I wash away all habitual obscurations.
