The Revelation of the Lord of Hosts, the Secret Razor of Fierce Mantras. Diri Chokyi Drakpa. The Revelation of the Lord of Hosts, the Secret Razor of Fierce Mantras. Diri Chokyi Drakpa. The Revelation of the Lord of Hosts, the Secret Razor of Fierce Mantras, resides herein. Homage to the Lord Avalokiteśvara! I pay homage to the Dharma-protecting Lord of Hosts, the virtuous son, who vowed before him, together with his retinue. In the degenerate age of the five hundred, for the enemies of the doctrine who are hated by karma, the means of subduing, summoning, killing, and destroying, the oral transmission of Vairochana, the razor of secret fierce mantras, are the three: the practice, the main practice, and the subsequent practice. The first is the preliminary practice with its components: On a harmful piece of land, in front, set up a mandala that is square and of proper size. On top of that, on various inauspicious pieces of land, make a triangle, one cubit wide and half a cubit deep. Inside it, smear various poisonous bloods. On the back, smear it black with corpse charcoal and place it on top of the mandala. Then, draw a lingam properly and surround it with the mantras of calling, cursing, and killing. Insert three juniper pegs in three places. Expand the separation, summoning, and killing, and perform corpse folding. Bind it with blue-red silk thread. Place it in the skull of a dog, goat, or pig, whichever is available, and place it inside the hole for casting spells. The Lord's mandala, endowed with consecration, is placed in the center. On the right corner, place the supreme mandala of the body. On the left corner, place the supreme mandala of speech. In the back, place the supreme mandala of mind, all three placed in the triangle. The consort's mandala is placed on the left corner of the father (referring to Ganesha). Outside of that, surround it with a collection of head images. If it doesn't fit there, surround it behind the triangle. The spell-casting thread is tied to the peg in front. Behind that, surround it with thirty-nine or twenty-one wrathful deities in the manner of a Rakshasa. Behind that, set up a three-legged stand of wrathful wood, and erect a black or hopeful tent. Then, arrange extensive offerings and tormas for the yidam and Dharma protectors. The Lord's torma, shaped like a yak's heart, is smeared black with tree charcoal and placed in a vessel. Arrange three small food offerings on three sides. Decorate the upper half of a yak or sheep and place it on top of the three-legged stand. The life-sustaining object, write the form or essence mantra of Mahakala on black silk and erect it. Wrap silk around a sandalwood handle.

Adorned with various kinds of jewels and established as a support. The support for the supreme speech is a black sheep's citta (Tibetan: ལུག་ནག་གི་ཙིཏྟ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized:, Chinese literal meaning:). The support for the supreme mind is a black yak's citta (Tibetan: གཡག་ནག་གི་ཙིཏྟ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized:, Chinese literal meaning:). On the tripod or wherever convenient, arrange the forms, namely: birds such as the Garuda and the great Peng, various kinds of predators, wild animals, domesticated animals, aquatic creatures, and whatever else is mentioned in the texts. The offering substances are various kinds of poisons such as white and black mustard seeds, and various copper and iron powders. In addition, arrange the necessary implements until the accomplishment of the practice. This is the sequence of preparation. The second general meaning, the sequence of actually engaging in the practice, has ten parts. First, generating the support, the palace with its seat: First, extensively offer incense and water tormas, dispel all obstacles, and request the assistance to quickly accomplish favorable conditions. Thus, and so forth, issue commands. Also offer white tormas to the external classes, and issue commands well. Guardians, male lineage, female lineage, and retinue, all of you be impartial witnesses, control good and bad, pursue vows, distinguish truth from falsehood, be my supporters, and punish wrongdoers. Thus command. Meditate on Phurba Mahakala, and extensively perform vows and so forth. Examine the sky, space, and ground. Then, extensively perform the recitation and offering to the yidam and protectors, fulfillment, confession, and tsog offerings. Then, Oṃ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཿསྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅་ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized:, Chinese literal meaning:) Visualize all the arrangements in front as being non-objective and empty. From within emptiness, from the heart of your own yidam, a single syllable trāṃ (Tibetan: ཏྲཱཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized: trāṃ, Chinese literal meaning:) radiates light and transforms into a Mount Meru made of four precious substances, square in shape, with three tiers. On top of that, on a surface spread with red lotus patterns, from the syllable bhrūṃ (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanized: bhrūṃ, Chinese literal meaning:) arises a square palace made of various jewels, with four doors and door frames. Golden pillars are inlaid with turquoise beams, with decorations, horse faces, dharma wheels, tiers, finials, reclining deer, and parasols. Inside, there is a beautiful dharma hall, a gathering place for the gods, with slabs of cat's eye stone the color of fish skin. In the center of that, there is a dark blue triangle.
