May we attain accomplishment therein. The deity I have cultivated from previous lifetimes, the activity mother of all Buddhas of the three times, Green-blue, one face, two arms, swift, peaceful, and heroic, may the auspiciousness of the mother holding an Utpala flower prevail! Royal Mother Tara, how is your form, retinue, the measure of your lifespan, and pure lands, etc.? How is your supreme and excellent name? May I and others become just like that. Through the power of praising and praying to you, may sickness, evil spirits, poverty, and strife be pacified in the place where I and others dwell, and may Dharma and auspiciousness increase. Thus, and so on, conclude with prayers and auspicious words, and then engage in the practice. Namo Arya Tareye (Tibetan: ན་མོ་ཨཱ་རྱ་ཏཱ་ར་ཡེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नम आर्य तारये, Sanskrit Romanization: namo ārya tāraye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Noble Tara). With the four lines beginning with "Homage to the goddess," serving her with great reverence, like a god, lord, master, and servant, is the practice of the Tantra. Viewing oneself not as an ordinary person, but with a true view, generating oneself as the deity in front and taking siddhis like a sibling, is the path of the Action Tantra. The intelligent one, realizing that all phenomena are empty in their nature, from within that emptiness, with great joy, realizing that the deity and I are inseparable, reciting mantras, gathering light rays, etc., accomplishing the deeds of the Buddhas from now on, is the root of Yoga. Dawn represents the setting of the sun, where ordinary conceptual thoughts dissolve into space, transforming the environment and beings into a pure and vast mandala, which is the generation stage. Early morning, representing going before the rising sun, is the completion stage, the proximate cause for the arising of wisdom. Transforming ordinary conceptual thoughts and the thought of clinging to the deity into the two stages, that and that, is the essence of Anuttara Yoga. Meditating on the path connected to the four great classes of Tantra in such a way, with mindfulness closely established, will steal away all temporary and ultimate fears, and establish one in the state of omniscience, the state of liberation. In this way, by showing the main practice of the path and its fruit along with its branches, the subject matter of all the Tantras is completely and unerringly perfected. This was written by Myurma Pamo, Inseparable Jnanasahara, and Blessed Day Wisdom, arising from the slight blossoming of an Utpala flower. May it be accomplished. Furthermore, one should also realize that the meaning of the praise Tantra is profound and vast.

So. Thus it was written by Manjushri Ghosha. Just by holding the name of the lotus, if it grants the nectar of benefit and happiness as desired, then what need is there to mention the bestowal of auspicious blessings upon those who diligently practice and approach it? Therefore, in order to increase the lineage of profound maturation and liberation of the accomplished masters of valid cognition, may this burden of pure intention also make the auspicious light ever stable. Thus, fearing that even a mere speck of the Vajra speech of the all-knowing and all-seeing Manjushri Ghosha would vanish in this world like a particle of precious jewel, I have written this with faith and pure intention, having matured into a fortunate one through the kindness of the all-knowing Lama Dharma Mati, regarding this profound and secret supreme practice. However, since the root sadhana ritual does not reside in daily practice, it is too concise. Although there is only a root list for the empowerment, and although the Lord of the Wheel, Jamgon Lama, has a ritual, the manuscript has fallen asleep in space, so I had no choice but to abandon writing it. Although I have written it after examining it to the best of my ability, there are many places of doubt, so there is no witness with the eye of Dharma who can measure the secret of this Lord's speech to consult. I sincerely confess all mistakes before the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Dakinis, and with the light of virtuous deeds, I pray for the prosperity of the Dharma and beings. At the time of accumulating six million Taras, in the manner of being able to be recited. Written by Jamyang Khyentse Özer Pema Wangchen Gyepa Tsal, a subject who pleases the King of Dharma, Jamgon, at the monastery of Tagyeng Dul, below Paro Kyichu (modern temple in Bhutan) in Punthok Trashi Gakhil (modern place in Bhutan). The scribe was Rebkong Ngakpa Jigme Kelsang Trinley Lhundrup, may it become the cause of the increase and expansion of the glory of the Dharma and beings, pacifying the decline of the degenerate age! The sadhana and empowerment of Jetsun Tara related to the four tantras, compiled as a readable ritual, bestowing the glory of fulfilling both attainments and all desires. Jamyang Khyentse Özer.
