When the quintessence of Vima dawns in experience, In the samadhi without beginning or end, From the palace of essence, pure from the beginning, From Vimala, whose delusion is naturally pure, For the practitioner who aims for the fruition of the five kayas, In order to establish the view, Vimalamitra, with a body of space, Focuses on the sky and offers to the sun three times, Swallows the moon that melts into Vima into his belly, With the essential points of the body complete, first sending forth good thoughts, The difficulty of obtaining a leisure and endowed human body, The impermanence that deceives, the collapse of the false cave, The meaninglessness of samsaric activities, Claiming to be Dharma but straying into non-Dharma, Knowing that the law of karma is infallible, Reflecting deeply on the suffering of wandering and changing, With a firm mind of single-pointed renunciation, In this terrifying and unbearable suffering of samsara, The methods of all the powerful beings of the world are inadequate, The embodiment of compassion, the precious Guru, The savior Buddha, the supreme path of the sacred Dharma, The guide, the Sangha, I take refuge in them.
