The empowerment has three parts: the entrance, the main part, and the conclusion. First, the students are taken out from the bath of the Hundred Syllable Mantra, dressed in new clothes and ornaments, and seated in their places. The teacher says: In order to establish all beings, who have not been liberated and are as boundless as space, in the state of the protector Amitabha, for that purpose, enter this supreme great mandala and practice the path, please generate such intention and listen. Please offer the mandala as the representative of the disciples. Thus indicate, and have them offer the mandala. As a symbol for those who have not entered this sacred mandala before, or have entered but are entering again, please aspire to cover your face with an undamaged red veil.
