Thus, bless the auspicious life-extending substances. Vajra Master, I, empower you, the disciple, with durva grass. May you possess the victory banner of undying life, the unchangeable life tree, and a life equal to the sun and moon. Durva grass increases life. Having perfectly accomplished the life of Vajrasattva, may this supreme empowerment, which cuts off the stream of suffering, birth, and death, also increase life. Believe that you will accomplish the deathless life-holding awareness. Thus, wave the arrow banner and recite the life-summoning text according to the sadhana. Then, auspicious, long-lasting, glorious food, this is the essence gathered from the heart, today your son shall eat.

Etc., giving longevity wine, extensively making auspicious wishes. Afterwards, promising vows, offering the mandala, offering the body and dedicating merit, etc., as usual.
