The Heart Essence Sadhana of the Wisdom King Nāgarakṣa. Ngagwang Chökyi Gyatso. The Heart Essence Sadhana of the Wisdom King Nāgarakṣa. Ngagwang Chökyi Gyatso. This is the Heart Essence Sadhana of the Wisdom King Nāgarakṣa. Om Swasti. Until the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge in the Buddha. I take refuge in the sacred Dharma. I also have unwavering faith in the Sangha. May I and all limitless sentient beings, who are inherently Buddhas, in the nature of knowing that they are, generate the supreme bodhicitta. Om Shunyata Jnana Vajra Svabhava Atmako Ham. Like this, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, are empty, selfless, free from elaboration, and of great bliss. They transcend the realm of thought, speech, and objective mind. From the beginning, they are pure, in the nature of clear light. In an instant, self-awareness, the essence is the black letter Phei. From that, rays of dark blue light emanate, offering to all Buddhas and purifying the sins and obscurations of sentient beings. Gathering back, the blessings of all the victorious ones dissolve into Phei. Phei Raksha Kuru Bhrum. In all directions, in the midst of a churning sea of poison, everything is a palace made of snakes. In the center, adorned with various jewels, the lords of the earth, nagas, nyen, and gyal sen are spread out. On top of a seat of intertwined male and female beings, on a lotus and sun blazing mandala, the letter Phei transforms into the Lord of Death, Yama's Destroyer. The Wisdom King, red-black in color, with a putrid blood-like complexion. The fierce Yama, with a violently wrathful face. Three eyes glaring like a boiling sea of blood. An open mouth, a rolled tongue, and fangs bared. From the nostrils, whirls a terrifying wind of destruction. From the ears, exhales clouds of death that fill the three thousand worlds. From the mouth, emanates a poisonous vapor of mingled heat and cold. Hair blazing red-yellow like the fire of the end of an eon. Extremely terrifying, nine snakes stand erect on the head. A terrifying open mouth, bared fangs, and a tongue of lightning dancing. Looking in all directions, from the mouth comes the sound of "Yaksa". In the center, bound with a precious jewel crown. Adorned with the lama, the immovable Vajradhara. From within the hair, the great Garuda stirs like a star. From the pores, scorpions, poisonous insects, frogs, and snakes fall like rain. Two feet, the right drawn in, the left extended in a threatening posture. A blue-red snake tail coils in the sea of poison. Sixteen.
