Instructions on How to Recite the King From this, countless red rays of light Shine in all ten directions, in all Buddha-fields Offering pleasing offerings to the ocean of Buddhas The noble assembly of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions Immeasurable Hearers, Solitary Realizers, accomplished masters, and Vidyadharas And also the immeasurable Bodhisattvas abiding on the bhumis All the assemblies of pandits and siddhas, whose wisdom, intelligence, and perception are greatly expanded All the wisdom, greatly expanded intelligence, and perception Connect the essence of wisdom, the mass of light, with a thread of rays HRIH: The red essence, like a sesame pod opening Radiating and shimmering, filling all appearances and sounds My body and self-awareness dissolve into HRIH: All karmic obscurations from beginningless lifetimes Are purified, and the hot rays of wisdom blaze forth Think that the perception of intelligence and confidence is greatly expanded Steadfastly and repeatedly plant the stake of mindfulness Abandon doubt and hesitation, and with secret mantra Recite this single, all-sufficient king mantra in silence: OM SARASVATYE HRIH HRIH SVAHA By practicing for seven days, those with good fortune, whether superior, middling, or inferior Will experience realization, and even in dreams The best will see the face, hear the Dharma, and receive prophecies The middling will have experiences, and the lowest in dreams Will achieve accomplishment; do not doubt this The lowest of the low will see in dreams A red mass of light, or wear a red vest Holding a lamp, or the rising of the sun and moon Finding scriptures, or being given them by others Dreaming of drinking ink, or writing letters By practicing for seven days, the great signs will be perfected The intelligence to understand, the intelligence to compose, the intelligence to debate, the intelligence to explain And all the perception of intelligence and confidence will expand And you will become the great master of all pandits and siddhas Such profound and vast instructions are particularly excellent They are rare, but you will travel through kingdoms and see them You will grasp truth and falsehood, and certainty will arise In the future, my emanation, the fortunate heart-son Except for the lineage-holder, the great realized vidyadhara Seal it in a citta-ghau, vajra samaya Seal! Seal! Seal! The glorious mantra protectors, protect this command! If those with wrong views and demonic nature arise, then Destroy their power!
