A Clear Exposition of the Empowerment Ritual of the Peaceful Vajradhātu from the Gathering of the Eight Sugatas: Cooling Rays of Nectar for the Benefit of All. Padma Garwang Trinley. A Clear Exposition of the Empowerment Ritual of the Peaceful Vajradhātu from the Gathering of the Eight Sugatas: Cooling Rays of Nectar for the Benefit of All. Padma Garwang Trinley. From the Gathering of the Eight Sugatas, a text called "A Clear Exposition of the Empowerment Ritual of the Peaceful Vajradhātu: Cooling Rays of Nectar for the Benefit of All" is present. Namo Guru Shanta Vajra Dhatu Be. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ཤཱནྟ་བཛྲ་དྷཱ་ཏ་བེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु शान्त वज्र धातु बे, Sanskrit Romanization: namo guru shānta vajra dhātu be, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Guru, Shanta, Vajra, Dhatu, Be.) The primordially peaceful, unchanging Vajra realm, The clear light of wisdom, bindus arising in a hundred families, With the great bliss play pervading samsara and nirvana, May you cut the illusion of existence at its base. The root of the activities of the successive empowerments, The meaning of the text that opens the Vajra speech, Displayed as an ornament beautifying the throat Of the youthful, clear-minded Vidyadhara. In the peaceful Dharma cycle of the Gathering of the Eight Commands, the actual explanation from the root of the activities of the successive empowerments is difficult to practice because it is related to the great mandala of colored powders. Here, I have arranged a mere paraphrase of the empowerment based on a painted mandala. Assuming that no ground purification is necessary in an old practice place, there are five actual practice instructions: one's own yoga, preparation, offering practice, empowerment, and post-empowerment activities. First, on auspicious days such as waxing moon dates, at an isolated and auspicious place, decorate a clean house with ornaments. Arrange supports for the hundred families of Sugatas or the five families, etc. On a covered platform, arrange the self-generation offerings, two waters, articles of enjoyment, and rosaries in rows. Preliminary white torma, scented water, incense materials, scented bath water, etc., and preliminary items, a large and excellent mandala plate. Water mixed with sandalwood, saffron, and camphor. Vase and activity vase, kusha grass, toothpicks, arm cords, etc., should be gathered nearby. First, as in the activities of the hundred peaceful families, complete everything from the throwing of the preliminary torma to the protection wheel, and perform the self-generation recitation, etc. Second, there are three: deity, vase, and student preparation. First, clean the mandala well and, while reciting the essence of each of the hundred families, place a drop of fragrance in the center for the five main deities, and nine main deities in each of the eight directions and intermediate directions.

Then, place two each on the east and west sides, and one each on the south and north sides. Then, place one each on the four sides behind, and place a table in the center of the platform. The root text says: Meditate on the seven branches, the gods. The commentary says: Invite the Sugatas, etc. Therefore, the condensed meditation sequence is: In the center of the great immeasurable palace of the Mandala Ogmin Vajra arrangement, place the Sugata Vairochana Buddha and the four family lords, father and mother. In all directions and corners, place the eight great Bodhisattvas, father and mother, surrounded by eight Bodhisattvas of each family in turn. Behind that are the six manifestation Buddhas. At the four gates, place the four gate-keeper goddesses, so that all the deities of the peaceful Vajradhatu mandala are clearly manifested without being mixed. As in the preliminary practice of activity, invite by reciting the mantra "All sentient beings," etc. Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽)!
