Thirdly, the empowerment of the power of mind awareness: By placing the variegated vajra in the heart, (symbolizing) samsara and nirvana being complete as the nature of the four kayas, the self-power of the originally complete manifold as one, manifesting anything without obstruction, thereby the four activities and so on are spontaneously accomplished, understanding this meaning, rest evenly in the state of self-awareness and self-illumination. Vajra and skull-blood are entrusted to the right and left hands. Hūṃ! This nine-pointed vajra skull-blood, may you always hold it without separation! In meaning, it is the symbol of the power of self-awareness, may you obtain the empowerment of inseparable skillful means and wisdom! Recite the root mantra Hūṃ. By entrusting and consecrating the four implements blazing with the nature of wisdom, thereby cutting off all three poisons and evil spirits, may you believe that you have attained the great power to completely overcome external, internal, and secret obstacles and unfavorable forces. Entrusting the hammer of fire to the right hand and the iron scorpion phurba to the left hand. Hūṃ! The hammer of fire that destroys all four maras, the burning iron scorpion that subdues obstacles, this iron phurba of the nature of the three kayas, having entrusted this to a son of lineage, may external and internal obstacles be reduced to dust! May you obtain the empowerment to subdue the three poisons! Recite the root mantra and the melody of Hūṃ three and seven times. Recite auspicious words. Thus, the profound treasure of the great emanation treasure revealer Rigdzin Rolpai Dorje, the individual empowerment of the wrathful dance Vajrakila, is perfectly accomplished. As it says in the text: Among the three empowerments, extensive, intermediate, and concise, this is the empowerment of the blessing of the mind, by obtaining it just once, sins and obscurations are purified, obstacles are removed, life and merit, wealth, and prosperity increase, and the path to supreme enlightenment is grasped, therefore, hold it very dearly! Having heard this praise, with faith, devotion, and trust, protect the vows properly, and regard this as the yidam deity, thinking in this way, repeat after me. How the main deity, etc. Offering the mandala, etc., the conclusion of the empowerment, from the enjoyment of the tsok and the offering of leftovers, until the dedication, aspiration, and auspicious words, the subsequent rituals should be the same as the common secret. May the poisonous darkness born of the degenerate age be destroyed by the power and blazing rays of the sun, may the light of benefit and happiness always protect the three realms! The lineage of this ripening ritual is rare, although it is strictly sealed with commandments, may it benefit the Dharma lineage with a good intention of hoping for benefit, with the wealth of the treasure trove of jewels.
