From the Lama Gongpa Duspa, the supremely secret, root heart practice that clarifies the essence of the Lama, Yidam, and Khandro, the Heart Jewel. By Sangye Lingpa. From the Lama Gongpa Duspa, the supremely secret, root heart practice that clarifies the essence of the Lama, Yidam, and Khandro, the Heart Jewel resides. Homage to the Guru, Deva, Dakini, Hum). Future fortunate lion cubs, heart sons! This Three Roots combined practice, Orgyen life-peg, whoever takes it up with one-pointed fixation, I am inseparable from them, whatever they wish will arise, sons! Other common practices are like the sky, or like constellations, numerous and complete, but this heart practice is like the sun and moon, one is enough, easy to understand, the essence of meaning. From the Gongdu Dzodzin, it is the root instruction. The person who takes this up, should possess faith, samaya, diligence, and compassion. Be open-minded, steadfast, able to keep secrets, and abide in solitude. Without attachment or clinging, let go of this life with your mind. Take on the burden of benefiting others, like a qualified skull cup. Practice without doubt or hesitation. The place should be a mountain valley, the foot of a glacier, a forest, an island, a charnel ground, a remote hermitage, or a place that is pleasant, warm, and blessed. If the mind agrees, even a city is fine. In such places, during the waxing moon and auspicious constellations, perform the three activities of approach, accomplishment, and application. First, approach this intense, red-hot practice, abandon worldly activities and diligently approach it. Once the signs are complete, engage in the activity of accomplishment. If you engage in accomplishment and application before the signs are complete, it will be like picking unripe fruit, it will be immature and the blessings will fade, obstacles and harm from demons will occur. Once the signs are complete, and you engage in accomplishment and application, whatever you wish will be accomplished, like rain falling according to your desire. The ultimate meaning will be accomplished, not to mention the common accomplishments. Therefore, practice this until the signs are complete. Samaya. The preliminary practices such as taking refuge, generating bodhicitta, and the seven-branch offering, should be performed according to the common texts, either elaborately or concisely, as appropriate. When engaging in the approach practice of the Heart Jewel that Clarifies, the yoga of the flowing river, from the clear samadhi of instantaneous mindfulness: Pam.

Above the A syllable is a lotus, above the A syllable is a moon, above the Ram syllable is a sun disc. Visualize yourself as the Bhagavan Glorious Hayagriva, with a red body, one face and two arms, wrathful and fierce, with dark brown hair flowing upwards, amidst which is a verdant horse head with a red mane blazing like the fire at the end of an eon, from which emanate red rays of light like a blacksmith's sparks, radiating like hooks, subjugating the three realms. From his mouth, a horse's neigh resounds like thunder throughout the three thousand worlds, overwhelming the three realms with its power. Adorned with five dry skulls and a jeweled crest. His mouth is open, with four fangs bared and his tongue curled. His three eyes are round and red, flashing like lightning. His eyebrows and beard blaze and flutter like fire. He wears an elephant skin upper garment and a tiger skin lower garment. His belt is made of human skin. All his limbs are entwined with jeweled bracelets and snakes. He is adorned with a garland of fifty-one fresh heads, and the eight charnel ground ornaments and six bone ornaments. Banners of various silks flutter. His right hand raises a vajra chopper into the sky. His left hand holds a skull cup filled with blood at his knee. His belly is large and his thighs are thick. He is extremely wrathful and fierce, with the appearance of an angry yaksha and rakshasa, residing in the midst of blazing wisdom fire, clearly visualized. At his heart, from your own heart's blood (藏文:པཾ་,梵文天城体:प,梵文罗马拟音:pam,汉语字面意思:pam), a sea of nectar arises, like a vessel filled with reddish-copper milk. In the center of this, the heart itself transforms into a layered lotus stem. All the veins of the heart extend outwards, from which the lotus stem sprouts branches, leaves, and flowers, growing luxuriantly. Like the leaves of a great wish-fulfilling tree, they are bright and clear. Visualize it as prosperous and complete. At the tip of the heart, there is a lotus with four petals and a stamen. On the stamen of a single, vibrant red lotus, like a freshly opened bud, is Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, red and clear, even more radiant than light, with shimmering red rays of light. He is about eight years old and extremely beautiful. He has one face and two arms, and sits in the vajra posture, holding his consort, the goddess Mandarava, in his lap. In his two hands, his right hand holds a golden five-pronged vajra, and his left hand holds a kapala.
