Unlike the common, regarding the great Dharma of hidden treasures with extraordinary merits, some scholars, without careful investigation, disparage them with contemptuous words such as "earth Dharma" and "stone Dharma." They claim that because they were buried underground for a long time before being unearthed, their blessings would increase, which is an extreme statement; and because their source is in the earth and stones, there is no way to trace the lineage, and so on, and refute them. However, even among those who entrust their entire lives to hidden treasure Dharma, some think: this Dharma was hidden in cliffs and rocks by Guru Padmasambhava, and later discovered by a kind lama, so it must have blessings; or they think that this hidden treasure Dharma has the powerful protection of gods and demons of snow mountains, rocks, and lakes, so it must have power. Still others, no matter what this Dharma is like, insist that it has been passed down through their family's lineage of Dharma for generations, clinging only to the purity of their family lineage. Some people do not even know the difference between the writings of a treasure revealer and the hidden treasure Dharma itself, and simply because they have faith in a certain lama, they consider all his writings to be hidden treasure Dharma and practice them. Still others say that after practicing this Dharma, so-and-so became lucky and had a rosy complexion, and they value it like a livestock's wealth-attracting amulet. Many people think that so-called treasure revealers are those who indulge in inferior alcohol, dress sloppily, and write a lot of messy and random words, and they think that being a treasure revealer is easy, and say that they can do it too. Still others think that the only criterion for distinguishing between a genuine treasure revealer and a fake one is whether they can find real objects such as scriptures and Dharma objects from the excavated underground. If these views are allowed to develop, people seem to have great faith in hidden treasure Dharma. However, if you study it carefully, you will find that many situations are like chasing the flowing water in a mirage. Therefore, if among a hundred people, there can be a few who have the ability to discern, are impartial, and pursue the truth, then as mentioned above, they will turn their attention to the entrustment and aspirations of Guru Padmasambhava, the Knower of the Three Times, and show a slight smile of relief. With such a desire to compile, due to the repeated urging and encouragement of Jikme Chokyi Lodro, a respectful follower of the Pema Kagyu lineage and a close attendant, I briefly heard the explanation of the Seven Rivers descended before the venerable omniscient Lama Dorje Ziji, who is no different from Guru Padmasambhava, the embodiment of wisdom and illusion. Later, the great treasure revealer Lerab Lingpa bestowed the treasure scripture "Great Accomplishment" in the manner of explanatory transmission. Based on the answers to the questions asked and supplemented with some appropriate additions by myself, this was written by Jikme Tenpai Nyima. May this virtue cause the essence of the Victorious Dharma, the pure tradition of the Ugyen Lama, to flourish and spread in all directions and times! May the gods and asuras, accomplished vidyadharas, and the immeasurable assembly of dakinis, uphold the profound mind treasure as before, and may it always appear to the fortunate ones!
