Among the three great streams of Kama, Terma, and Dagnang in the Nyingma lineage of Secret Mantra, the Karma Lingpa treasure lineage, which is particularly sharp in its blessings and vast in its activities in this present age, will be briefly discussed to plant the seeds of stimulating inquiry. In this regard, the manner in which the treasure teachings' lineage is authentic and the river of empowerment has not dried up is as follows: The manner in which the lineage of mind transmission, symbolic transmission, and oral transmission occurred without interruption from Kuntuzangpo Dorje Sempa to the Great Teacher, and how the treasure revealer transmitted to the dharma lord, etc., are easy to understand. The Great Teacher's method of transmitting to the treasure revealer is: The manner in which the flow of empowerment of the Kagye Sangdzog and Rangshar are spoken of in unison by the two histories as follows: Thus, the river of empowerment, without exception, flowed to me, Orgyen Padma. Orgyen myself, in Yangleshö, Nepal, opened the gate of empowerment of Shyiwa Dorje Ying to Vimalamitra and bestowed it. In the eight practice places of Tibet, the empowerment of the Kagye was separately bestowed upon eight individuals with karma. At the summit of Samye, the great empowerment of the Gathering of the Sugatas was bestowed upon the king, ministers, and twenty-five disciples. Thereafter, the empowerment of all the complete secrets was fully bestowed upon the nine heart-sons, including the king, ministers, and three friends. At the time of the complete bestowal, the manner in which the river of empowerment now flows without interruption is explained. Furthermore, from the prophecy that the river of empowerment will occur without interruption in the future, "My heart-son, the Bodhisattva treasure revealer, now in this time, you who have the karma for the great river of empowerment to descend, practice the transmitted precepts. At that time, when you, the sons of karma, encounter these treasure teachings of mine, the imprints of the great empowerment that Orgyen myself fully bestowed will awaken. The treasure doors of this treasure of mine and the practice teachings of the king, ministers, and three friends, etc., will also be opened."

༔ 灌顶之水已降临，后世之人当毫无疑虑地修持！如此广为开示。往昔，莲花生大师为君臣等众人，授予此法与彼法的灌顶。其中，少数有缘者，其花朵落于主要坛城之上，如《意集大圆满》与《噶举三尊》等少数法类，仅被赋予灌顶而已。因此，应知主次之差别。注释：大师将法交付于彼（指受法者），并立其为自己的法嗣，加持其调伏末世众生。如此这般的灌顶与交付之传承，直至今日，既已获得，且未曾衰败，此乃掘藏师拥有灌顶、引导、教言之独特传承方式。以拥有如此传承之力量，方能如时从空行母手中获得密咒之法箧。绝非如在水边偶然拾得珊瑚般。在未发现伏藏品之前，即已安住于传承之加持中。并非发现黄纸之际，方才获得传承。拥有如此传承，自不待言。掘藏师之转世亦是如此。在《无垢普贤之伏藏授记》中云：“掘藏师朗玛林玛将至，掘藏师夏蒙多如陨石般降临。然此非无果，乃是邬金我之备忘录。”如是所说，莲花生大师以慈悲利益藏地人民之不变誓言，以及藏地人民不忘莲师之记忆，皆是源于莲师自身之愿力。因此，彼等并无如凡夫之寿命与生死。对此需稍作详述。 若稍作区分传承方式，以彼法门修持二利事业而精通之加持，犹如九位心子。为使彼等在末世以该法成办利生事业，如是如是出现，并带有地标与时标之授记，此乃加持降临之授记。１于彼等而言，于未来后世之时，亦如现在般获得之灌顶与诀窍，在任何时机，以任何方式相应，皆能于汝之心间清晰苏醒，莲师以心意交付之祈愿力所致。

༔ The water of empowerment has descended, may future generations practice without doubt! Thus he extensively taught. In the past, Guru Rinpoche bestowed empowerments of this and that dharma upon the king and subjects. Among them, some fortunate ones whose flowers fell upon the main mandala, such as the Great Perfection of the Gathering of Intentions and the Three Kagyü Deities, were merely given empowerment. Therefore, one should know the distinction between principal and secondary. Note: The master entrusted the dharma to him (referring to the recipient of the dharma) and enthroned him as his successor, blessing him to subdue beings in the degenerate age. Such a lineage of empowerment and entrustment has been obtained and remains undiminished to this day. This is how the treasure revealer uniquely possesses the lineage of empowerment, guidance, and instructions. It is by the power of possessing such a lineage that one obtains the casket of secret mantra dharma from the hands of the dakinis as the time arrives. It is definitely not like accidentally finding coral on the shore. Before discovering the treasure text, one already abides in the blessing of the lineage. One should not say that one has only obtained the lineage upon discovering the yellow scroll. Needless to say, the rebirths of treasure revealers are also like this. In the treasure prophecy of Drimé Kundga, it says: "The treasure revealer Langma Lingma will come, the treasure revealer Shamong will descend like a meteor. But this is not without result, it is the memorandum of Orgyen me." As it is said, the unchanging oath of Guru Rinpoche to compassionately benefit the Tibetan people, and the memory of the Tibetan people not forgetting Guru Rinpoche, both arise solely from the power of the master's own aspiration. Therefore, they do not have lifespans and births and deaths like ordinary people. This needs a little more detail. If we slightly differentiate the way of transmission, the blessing of mastering the practice of the two benefits through that particular dharma is like the nine heart sons. In order for them to accomplish the benefit of beings with this dharma in the degenerate age, prophesying that they will appear in such and such a way, with landmarks and timestamps, is the prophecy of the descent of blessing. 1. For them, in that future time, may the empowerments and instructions obtained as they are now, awaken clearly in your heart in whatever time and in whatever way they are appropriate, through the power of the prayer of Guru's mind entrustment.
