I prostrate to and take refuge in the precious Lamas! The way Lama Naropa sought Tilopa, the way he practiced austerities, and the way he bestowed the Dharma are as follows: \"The reality of things is the path, and the order of the arising of the fruit.\" Thus, regarding the reality of body and mind, the way the fruit arises through practicing the path is explained elsewhere. Regarding the arising of the stages of the four yogas of experience, whether or not the key points of the ten dharmas are grasped is shown as follows: The venerable Rinpoche said, \"What is the meditation that does not stray into the four places of loss and does not deviate into the three places of error (the dharma condensed into three threes, making six)? It is the three ways of settling.\" He said, \"Settling naturally, settling without contrivance, and settling loosely.\" For settling naturally: grass naturally, mountain naturally, water naturally. For the three of settling without contrivance: the mind is not scattered outward, not gathered inward, and not grasped as meditation. For the three of settling loosely: here, one's own, settling in one's own way and meditating. Having meditated in this way, if stiffness arises in the place of settling, and if stiffness spreads, then meditate on the co-emergent union yoga. Having meditated in this way, the stages of the four yogas arise: first, one-pointedness; then, freedom from elaboration; then, one taste; then, no-meditation, abiding in peace, quiescence. He said, \"Excitement: from the first one-pointedness, the sound of a person is not allowed.\" In the Vinaya of the Holy Dharma, one who possesses vows (wisdom is called 'vow,' discipline is called 'vow') is named 'possessor of vows.' Jowo said there are lesser persons, middling persons, and great persons. 'Filled' means the beings of the three realms are filled with afflictions. 'Leaking' means falling into the three lower realms. The second is that the continuum is filled with virtue and leaks into great enlightenment. Persons are of two types: ordinary persons and noble persons; the former is a fall. Yoga is said to be the natural state of mind, and the union of the natural state of reality is called yoga. In one-pointedness, there are those who desire experience rather than realization. The Tsalpa and Drukpa desire experience. Some also desire realization. One-pointedness is divided into three: superior, middling, and inferior. Superior is little freedom from elaboration, middling is one-pointedness, and inferior is experience. Furthermore, according to the views of the Dharma Lord and his sons, they do not consider it to be experience. If it is considered realization, then the highs and lows of experience are like the waves of water. So, what is the view?" } ] ============================================================
