Fifth Section: Explanation of Meaning Fifth Section: Explanation of Meaning "All aspects manifest," etc. The peak application has a reason to be taught after all aspects, because you arise from the perfection of all aspects. The four dharmas, such as the signs of the peak application, have a reason to be taught first, because the peak application is easy to understand. "Even in dreams," etc. Even in dreams, seeing all dharmas as dreamlike, etc., the twelve dharmas, are signs of attaining the peak of realization, because it is the quality of not being confused about the peak realization. The first part of the wisdom of the ninth ground, divided into four parts, is the peak of signs, because it is the pure wisdom of obtaining the twelve signs, such as seeing all dharmas as dreamlike even in dreams. "Of Jambudvipa," etc. The second part of the wisdom of the ninth ground is the peak of increase, because it is the pure wisdom that possesses the sixteen kinds of increasing merit taught at this time. "Three all-knowing natures," etc. The third part of the wisdom of the ninth ground is the peak of definite teaching, because it is the pure wisdom where wisdom perfects the qualities of the three knowledges, and compassion never abandons the benefit of sentient beings at all times. "Four continents," etc. The fourth part of the wisdom of the ninth ground is the peak of the mind abiding in all, because it is the pure wisdom that possesses much merit, surpassing even the number measured by weighing three thousand worlds. According to the noble ones, taking the four paths of heat, etc., as the subject, they are successively the peaks of signs and increase, stability, and the mind abiding in all, abandoning pure wisdom and establishing the previous grounds. "Entering and returning," etc. The bodhisattva's path, with its fruits, and the bodhisattva's Devadatta-like conceptualization of clinging to what should be taken and abandoning what should be abandoned in the shravaka's path, are successively the conceptualization of grasping in entering and the conceptualization of grasping in returning, because they are such conceptualizations. Each one has ninefold divisions, because there is no object as one clings to, because it appears reversed.

Refutation. Because it is not related to the object of attachment. Regarding the distinction between ordinary beings and noble ones, etc. The person in the continuum of an ordinary being who grasps the existent as real is a conceptualization of grasping at reality, because it is a conceptualization that clings to the enjoyer as real. The person in the continuum of a noble one who grasps the imputed as existent is a conceptualization of grasping at permanence, because it is a conceptualization that grasps the enjoyer as merely imputed. Each one has ninety-nine distinctions, because there are ninety-nine objects. Grasping at truth is not established, because the meaning as it is apprehended by oneself is not established. Regarding essence, etc. Because the six perfections are the essence of the Bodhisattva path, the conceptualization that clings to what should be adopted is the apprehended conceptualization included in what is to be abandoned by seeing in this context, because it is the apprehended conceptualization to be abandoned during the stage of the peak of the path of seeing. Because the three pure grounds are determined to be the Buddha-nature, grasping at what should be adopted, and because practicing like illusion, clinging to what should be adopted for accomplishing the Mahayana path, and because the realization of the Mahayana does not confuse the object, clinging to what should be adopted, and clinging to what should be adopted and abandoned in relation to the antidotes to be abandoned of the Mahayana, and grasping at what should be adopted in the realization of the unborn ground and path, and because the Hearers and Solitary Realizers have cut off the extreme of existence, clinging to what should be adopted in attention, and clinging to what should be adopted in the activity of benefiting sentient beings, and clinging to what should be adopted in establishing the result for all sentient beings, etc., are made into subjects, and the sign and the predicate are established as before. Because of falling into existence and peace, etc. The path of Hearers and Solitary Realizers is an inferior realization, because it falls into either existence or peace. It is not a perfect spiritual friend, because it lacks skillful means of outer and inner. It is not a complete path of practice, because it is not the antidote to all afflictive and cognitive obscurations. It proceeds by means of other conditions, because traversing the path depends on the instructions of other teachers. The purpose is inferior, because it does not engage in the sake of the three great purposes. It is the activity of a narrow path, because it is only the antidote to afflictive obscurations. The realizations of the four fruits are different, because they focus on phenomena such as form and grasp at characteristics such as impermanence. One who abides in the Mahayana path
