Ah! If it is said and circulated in the world that it is easy to refute the tenets of others. If that is the case, since you also have the easily found refutation argument, why can't you criticize the views of other Madhyamikas? Therefore, since you cannot criticize the views of others, it is not easy to find a refutation argument. Third, showing that the reasoning of existence and non-existence is the same: If even without reason, you think that things really exist just by the word "existence," then why can't I make it non-self-existent just by the word "non-self-existence"? Therefore, by eliminating the two statements of existence and non-existence, the doctrine of non-duality can be established. If things do not exist in the ultimate sense, then at that time there will be no name called "non-existent things exist", because there cannot be a name calling the son of a barren woman existing, if it is said that it exists by nature, then, because it is called existence and possession, things will not become non-existent, which is also unreasonable, because it is called existence, things will not become existent, because names do not follow the nature of the named, but because they are arbitrary before and after them. For example, calling a person with good eyes blind, and calling a person with a short life long-lived, and so on. If the sound touches the nature of things, we do not approve of it either, but, if the sound that does not touch the nature of things, how can the meaning of what is expressed be circulated in the world, and those things exist in the ultimate sense? If all things exist by nature, and the sounds that do not recognize their nature are expressed by worldly people, and they exist for worldly people, then that thing that truly exists in itself will only be the ultimate truth, how can it be the conventional truth? It will not be at all. Fourth, refuting the aspect of becoming non-existent: If you have already stopped both things and non-things, even so, because you have eliminated things, will things become non-existent for you? If things

If everything is blocked and disappears, thus turning into a state of non-existence, if that is the case, then all the views of the Madhyamikas should not be non-existent, just like this: When it is impossible for things themselves to exist in the way described above, because the object to be negated does not exist, it is impossible for the non-existence of negating it to exist. Why is that? Because in the world, the destruction of things or becoming other things is called non-existence. At that time, if what is relied upon is non-existence, then how can the non-existence that is relied upon be established? Therefore, things and non-existence are mutually dependent and are not established by their own nature. Fifth, refuting the example and reason for establishing emptiness: If nothing can be established without a cause, then you must undoubtedly show the reason for establishing emptiness, and emptiness will be established from the reason, therefore everything will not be empty, because there are other existences such as reason. If you say so, then when establishing emptiness, do you say that there is a cause of production or a cause of cognition? If it is the former, then emptiness becomes fabricated, therefore it will deceive like an illusion, but emptiness is the nature of being always the same, so it is not deception either. Therefore, it is not the cause of production. If you think about the cause of cognition and say that there is a cause for establishing emptiness, then the reason is said for establishing the proposition. If the reason is different from the proposition, then because it is not a homogeneous property, it cannot make the proposition understood. If the reason is not different from the proposition, then like the nature of the proposition itself, this is not a reason, therefore there is no reason for establishing emptiness, so things are established as without self-nature. If even without a reason, but because there is an example of emptiness, therefore, like the example, there are other things that exist, so everything will not be empty, if you say so, then if you examine this example, is it examining something related to the meaning of the reason, or is it examining something unrelated? If it is the former, then it has already been excluded by the refutation of the reason. If you think that the meaning can be established merely by an example that is not related to the meaning of the reason, then what will happen at that time?
