Commentary on the Sutra of Thoroughly Grinding Everything Commentary on the Sutra of Thoroughly Grinding Everything Commentary on the Sutra of Thoroughly Grinding Everything, extant. Formed from the essence of self-nature purity, a jewel, Two benefits complete, the mandala of the three bodies increases, Possessing the white light of spontaneously accomplished, virtuous activity, I prostrate to you, the powerful sage, the moon. This section of the "Condensed Sutra of the Noble Thoroughly Grinding Everything" should be understood through three meanings: namely, its necessity, summary, and the meaning of the words. Firstly, from this, one can easily understand the characteristics and faults of the action of abandoning the Dharma, and abandon it as if looking at a precipice. And by greatly increasing faith, respect, offerings, and service to the Dharma and the person who speaks the Dharma, which are the means of abandoning it, one obtains the complete benefits of both temporary and ultimate aims. This is what it is. The summarized meaning of this is twofold: to advise abandoning the action of abandoning the Dharma, and to show the characteristics of the action of abandoning the Dharma, which should be abandoned. The first is from "Sentient beings" to "should not fall." The second has two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first also has a brief explanation of the actual abandonment of the Dharma, and it also shows that the other two jewels are abandoned because of it. These are also in order, from "Then" to "is abandoning the Dharma," and from "Whoever abandons the Dharma" to "is said to be evil." In the detailed explanation, one should understand the nature of abandoning the Dharma and its result, the faults. The first also has two parts: turning away from the Dharma to be shown, and turning away from the person who shows it. The first also has three parts to be understood: distinguishing between types and non-types in the object to be known, distinguishing between superior and inferior vehicles in the object to be entered, and distinguishing between good and bad in the practice to be learned. These are also in order, "This is reason," and "This is for the Bodhisattvas," and "This is the training of the Bodhisattvas," etc. Turning away from the person who shows it also has two parts: slandering the one who speaks the Dharma correctly out of jealousy, and slandering the one who speaks the Dharma without training for the sake of reverence. The first also has: speaking of the faults of the one who speaks the Dharma.

There are three types of abandoning the Dharma: abandoning the Dharma related to the listener, abandoning the Dharma related to the speaker who teaches false doctrines about the Dharma to be taught, and the teaching of the truly spoken Dharma blessed by the Buddha. The first is further divided into three types of fault-finding: fault-finding related to arrogance in motivation, fault-finding related to the speaker as an individual, and fault-finding related to the words spoken, which should be understood through these three. The first is explained through statements such as "there is arrogance," "there is no arising of a Buddha," and "the attainment of having obtained a dharani is." The second is explained from "the conduct of the Dharma speaker is close" to "speaking of the degeneration of conduct and discipline." The third is explained from "showing the Dharma as non-Dharma" and "not understanding through arrogance" to "verses and verses." Regarding the false establishment of the Dharma to be taught, the abandonment of the Dharma related to the speaker is from "being attached to some meanings" to "this is a lineage, this is not a lineage." The teaching of the truly spoken Dharma blessed by the Buddha is from "Manjushri, the Shravaka" to "also thinking of imputing faults to them." Praising the unlearned Dharma speaker due to respect is from "for the sake of respect" to "those who have become abandoners of the Dharma." The faults as a result of that are, for example, "falling into the great lower realms," and so on. Regarding the meaning of the words, there are two types: general meaning and specific meaning. The first is that one should understand through what Dharma should be abandoned, who abandons it, what is the cause of abandoning it, how it is abandoned, and the fruit of the faults of abandoning it. The first is in the Uttaratantra, whatever is closely related to meaningful Dharma, speech that completely eliminates afflictions from the three realms, and whatever shows the benefit of peace, that is said to be the speech of a sage. All the words of the Sugata that have such characteristics, and whatever is spoken by a mindful person who is only influenced by the Victor's teachings, without distraction, and is in accordance with the path to liberation, that too should be accepted like the teachings of a sage. Having such characteristics
