First, the summary: \"Desire for possessions leads to poverty and death, as well as sickness and old age, which are the source of many sufferings. One must become weary of samsara. Please listen to some of its faults.\" Thus he spoke, addressing the king as \"Desire.\" Being impoverished by desires such as food and clothing, and ultimately death, and sickness that will occur temporarily, and aging that changes one's age, and so on, which includes lamenting and wailing, etc., the source of many sufferings, one must become weary of samsara. If one does not become weary of samsara, the mind of seeking liberation will not arise. As a means to generate that, please listen to even a portion of the faults of this samsara, that is, speaking only a part. Because the faults of samsara cannot be completely spoken, and by hearing one aspect, weariness will arise. Secondly, the detailed explanation. Because the faults of samsara cannot be fully stated, one aspect will be spoken. There are seven of these, the first being the fault of uncertainty: \"A father becomes a son, a mother becomes a wife, enemies become friends, and vice versa. Therefore, in samsara, there is no certainty.\" Thus it is said. Taking birth again and again, a father sometimes becomes a son, a mother becomes a wife, and enemies also become friends in another instance, and vice versa, the son becomes the father, and so on. Therefore, in samsara, there is no certainty of enemies or friends. Therefore, abandon attachment and aversion to the sides of enemies and friends. The second fault is insatiability: \"Each one has drunk more milk than the four oceans, yet still following individual ordinary people, the samsaric being will drink even more than that.\" Thus it is said. Each sentient being has drunk more milk than the four oceans in the past, because there is no beginning to the birth of drinking milk. Even so, still following individual ordinary people, that is, the samsaric being who has not walked on the noble path, will drink even more milk than before, because liberation" } ] ============================================================

Because the cycle of those children who have not accumulated the virtues of favorable conditions is without end. Third, the fault of repeatedly abandoning the body is: Each individual's heap of bones, as many as Mount Sumeru have passed away. It is said that each sentient being has also taken birth in samsara in the past, and the heap of bones of their own body, as many as or more than Mount Sumeru, has passed away. If you still do not strive on the path, you must abandon even more bones than that. Fourth, the fault of repeatedly connecting rebirths is: The end of mothers is like a small fingernail, even if you count them as pills, the earth will not be exhausted. It is said that each sentient being was once my mother, or the end of the number of mothers, even if you cut and count pills the size of a small fingernail from the center of the earth, the earth will not be exhausted, but will be exhausted. The number of mothers of one sentient being will not be exhausted, and if you still do not strive on the path, it will become even more. That meaning is also in the sutra: Monks, for example, if someone takes a pill the size of a small fingernail from this great earth, saying, 'This is my mother, this is the mother of my mother,' if you abandon it like this, monks, the clay of the great earth will be exhausted earlier, but the lineage of people's mothers, I say it is not like that. It's like that. Fifth, the fault of repeatedly changing high and low is: Indra, having become worthy of offering in the world, falls back to the ground due to karma. Having become a wheel-turning king, he also becomes a slave in samsara. It is said that Indra is worshiped even by the gods, let alone others. Having become worthy of offering in the world like that, he also falls back to the ground as an ordinary person or into a bad rebirth due to the karma of experiencing other past results. Even having become a wheel-turning king, possessing the seven treasures and ruling the four continents, in the state of samsara in samsara, he will become a slave or fall into a bad rebirth due to karma. Thus, it is shown that there is no trust in great power.
