Because there is no loveliness and unloveliness, if there is no loveliness, how could there be desire? If there is no unloveliness, how could there be hatred? If there are no signs of loveliness and unloveliness, since there is no cause, then desire and hatred, which have the signs of loveliness and unloveliness as their cause, also do not exist. Second, refuting the nature of perversion, refuting the basis, pointing out other ways of refutation, and pointing out the necessity of refutation, the first of these four is: Now, from the perspective of showing that there is no perversion, it is also shown that there is no ignorance. If taking impermanence as permanence, taking non-self as self, etc., is called inappropriate attention. If such grasping is perverse, since there is no impermanence in emptiness, then how is grasping not perverse? Here, there are four perversions: the five aggregates are momentary and impermanent, yet one grasps them as permanent; whatever is impermanent is suffering, and all formations are also impermanent, therefore the five aggregates are of the nature of suffering, yet one grasps them as happiness; as it is said: "The seed is the union of sperm and blood, born from excrement and urine, knowing its own nature is impure, who is attached to this body?" Thus, one grasps the impure nature of the body as pure due to ignorance; and the observation of the aggregates, empty of self and what belongs to self, yet one manifestly clings to them as self, these are all perversions. These four perversions are the cause of ignorance. Among them, if the aggregates are empty of permanence, yet one grasps impermanence as permanence, if such grasping is perverse, then the nature of the aggregates is empty, and even impermanence does not exist, then how could grasping the opposite as permanence not be perverse? Therefore, there is no permanent perversion, because there is no antidote to it, no non-perversion. Just as there is no impermanence in the emptiness of the aggregates, which are not born by nature, so too, suffering, impurity, and non-self do not exist, therefore their opposites, happiness, purity, and self, are also not perverse. Because there is no perversion, therefore the ignorance that has it as its cause exists

Why does it change? Because there is no cause. As it is said, the Bhagavan said: Ignorance and whatever arises from the condition of ignorance, will never exist. Ignorance is not something that exists in the world, therefore I say this is ignorance. As it is said. Furthermore, if impermanence is grasped as permanence, such grasping is inverted. If emptiness is grasped as impermanence, how can such grasping not be inverted? If, because of what is not true, impermanence is grasped as permanence, such grasping is inverted. Since the aggregates are empty by nature, and there is no impermanence itself, how can grasping them as impermanent not be inverted? When both permanence and impermanence are inverted, what is not inverted? There is no third thing apart from those. When there is no non-inversion, what is relied upon to become inverted? Therefore, by this reasoning, there is also no inversion. Because there is no inversion, there is no ignorance. If there is no inversion, but the grasping of permanence and so on exists, and if that exists, by what is it grasped, doing permanence and so on? The grasper, whether it is self or mind, and the action of the agent and the object to be grasped, such as form, must also exist, so everything is established? This is also not reasonable. By what is grasped, and what is grasped, the grasper and what is to be grasped, all are completely pacified, therefore grasping does not exist. Since the action of permanence and so on, by which it is grasped, does not exist, thus, if impermanence is grasped as permanence, such grasping is inverted, as has been shown. How does the grasper not exist? The existence or non-existence of self is not established in any way. As has been shown. Also, what is to be grasped does not exist, such as form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, and phenomena, as has been shown. Therefore, whatever is the action by which it is grasped, and whatever is the nature of grasping, and the agent of the grasper, and all that is to be grasped, including the action, are pacified because they are unborn by nature, that is, they are nirvana. Because the agent, the action, and the deed are not established, therefore grasping does not exist. The second is: Inversions exist.
