The first is: Here it is said that samsara exists because it is the basis for the connection between actions and their results. If there is a samsara characterized by the continuous cycle of birth and death, then it is reasonable that actions done in this life are connected to the results that ripen in future lives. If samsara, as described above, does not exist, then the mind would perish immediately after arising, and there would be no ripening when the action bears fruit, so there would be no connection between actions and their results. What are these actions, and what are their results? In this regard, there are three aspects: the nature of actions, their divisions, and refuting disputes. The first is: 'Well subduing oneself, benefiting others, and whatever loving-kindness, that is dharma, and in this and other lives, it is the seed of results.' 'Well subduing oneself' refers to the mind that turns away from actions such as killing. 'Benefiting others' refers to the mind that benefits others through the four means of gathering and protecting from fear. 'Loving-kindness' refers to the mind of love that arises from friendship and is not in conflict with sentient beings. These three minds are called 'dharma' because they hold one back from going to bad migrations. The term 'dharma' is known in the scriptures in three ways: the meaning of holding one's own characteristics, the meaning of holding beings back from bad migrations, and the meaning of holding beings back from the cycle of the five migrations. Here, the middle meaning is taken. Non-dharma is the opposite of this, and should be understood. Thus, these three kinds of minds are the seeds that cause the uncommon cause of agreeable results of ripening. When does it produce results? From the visible dharma of doing actions in this life to other lives, it produces results. Second, in terms of divisions, there are two types: divisions of nature and divisions of aspects. The first is: 'The actions of the noble and supreme ones are said to be intention and thought.' Because they have realized the ultimate meaning, they are noble. Because they are superior to hearers and self-awakened ones, they are supreme. The Buddhas, the Bhagavat, etc., say in the sutras that actions are the virtuous and non-virtuous actions of body, speech, and mind, which arise from" } ] ============================================================

The act of creating is the karma of the mind, and from this arises the nature of manifestation and non-manifestation of body and speech, thus the two karmas of thought are taught. The first of these two karmas is the karma of mind, which is the manifest creation of the mind. It is divided into merit, which is the cause of happiness in the desire realm, non-merit, which is the cause of suffering in the lower realms, and the unwavering karma, which is the cause of the higher realms. The second is the karma of body, speech, and mind, which are the ten non-virtuous actions and the ten virtuous actions with outflows. How is it? Thus, what is said as "karma is mind" is considered the desire of the mind. What is said as "thought" is considered the body and speech. Among the two karmas that are taught, what is said as the karma of mind is that which does not depend on the actions of body and speech, but reaches the ultimate through the gateway of the mind. Therefore, the mental factor of thought, which is associated with the consciousness of the mind, initiates virtuous and non-virtuous actions and is called the karma of mind. What is said as the karma of thought is that which exists in body and speech and reaches the ultimate through their gateways, therefore it is considered the karma of body and speech. The act of thinking in the mind that one should act in such and such a way with body and speech is called the karma of thought. Thus, the karmas of body, speech, and mind are transformed into three types. Secondly, the distinctions of these karmas are fully proclaimed in various ways. The distinctions of these three karmas have been fully proclaimed by the Bhagavan in various ways. How is it? Speech and movement, and the manifestation and non-manifestation of not abandoning, the non-manifestation of abandoning, and others are considered in the same way. The merit and non-merit arising from enjoyment, as well as the mind and those seven dharmas, are considered to be manifested as karma. The manifestation of speech that initiates the non-manifestation of virtue and non-virtue, and likewise the movement that initiates the non-manifestation of virtue and non-virtue, which is the manifestation of the body, and from now on I will kill sentient beings and make a living by robbery and theft, from the time of vowing to commit evil deeds until the time of not doing it.
