Those who possess also do not become liberated from bondage, just as before, because the reasons are the same. Secondly, if it is said that there is no bondage for formations and sentient beings, even so, there are bondages such as attachment, and because of that, there is also bondage. If it is said that close grasping is bondage, if close grasping is bondage, then will that which has close grasping or that which does not have close grasping be bound? For the moment, that which has close grasping will not be bound, because that which has close grasping is already bound, and it also does not need to be related to bondage. That which does not have close grasping, being separated from close grasping, will also not be bound, because it is separated from bondage, and saying that that which does not have close grasping, being separated from bondage, will be bound, is also mutually contradictory. Thus, upon analysis, neither that which has close grasping nor that which does not have close grasping can reasonably become bondage, so what other situation besides these two will become bondage? There is no other. Furthermore, if bondage exists before that which is to be bound, if bondage exists, then it depends on bondage. That is also not the case, just as here bondage, such as iron chains, etc., has already been established before that which is to be bound, therefore, just as one sees that which is to be bound, Devadatta, being bound, if before the formations or sentient beings that are to be bound, bondage, such as attachment, exists, and that which has been previously established depends on binding the formations or sentient beings, that is also not the case, because without a basis, attachment, etc., have not been established before, and after bondage has been established before, later it does not need to be associated with that which is to be bound, and also for that which is bound, having been established separately from bondage, bondage is not needed. The remainder, what has gone and what has not gone are shown by means of negation. Here, the remainder of the refutation that has been interrupted is to know that reciting the verses is reversed, and what has gone and what has not gone are shown by means of negation, for the moment, that which has been bound will not be bound, and that which has not been bound will not be bound, other than that which has been bound and that which has not been bound, one should not know that it is being bound. Etc., need to be added. Secondly, if you have refuted bondage, even so, the Tathagatas

For sentient beings, the liberation taught for the sake of the three aggregates of discipline, concentration, and wisdom exists. However, for those who are not bound, there is no liberation either. Therefore, if it is said that bondage also exists, then when contemplating liberation here, are we contemplating one who is bound or one who is not bound? For the moment, the bound will not be liberated, and the unbound will not be liberated either. If the bound are being liberated, then bondage and liberation will occur simultaneously. For the moment, the bound are not liberated because they are bound. The unbound will not be liberated either, because if they are already in a state of liberation, then they do not need to be associated with liberation. If it is thought that there is no possibility of liberation for the unbound, therefore those who are being bound are the ones who are being liberated, then, because they are bound and are being liberated, bondage and liberation will occur simultaneously. This is also unreasonable because they are mutually contradictory, like light and darkness. Therefore, for those who are bound and those who are not bound, there is no liberation, and because there is no liberation, there is also no bondage. Third, showing that the desire for liberation is to be abandoned: Here, you have negated both samsara and nirvana, and you have also negated bondage and liberation. Therefore, having crossed the vast wilderness of samsara, those who desire liberation, with great aspiration for virtuous Dharma, will attain nirvana without any grasping. If one thinks, "When will nirvana become mine?" then that thought becomes meaningless. Therefore, those who generate aspiration for virtuous Dharma, relying on virtuous friends, and giving and keeping discipline, etc., which are necessary for nirvana, will also become meaningless. Thus it is said. Therefore, for things that are without inherent existence, things that are like illusions, always using "I" and "mine," thereby generating attachment to the view of the aggregates, that itself is an obstacle to attaining nirvana. Like this: I attain nirvana without grasping, When will nirvana become mine? Thus, whoever grasps, That is a great grasping of clinging. I will attain nirvana without grasping and free from grasping. Having entered nirvana, it will become mine—thus, those who desire liberation, whoever grasps and is arrogant, for them, between I and mine
