It is also not different from anything, nor does it possess those things. I do not have aggregates, etc., and aggregates, etc., do not have me. If, as previously stated, one searches in five ways, if I do not exist, then what kind of existing self will transmigrate? Thus, I also do not have transmigration, because I am non-existent like the child of a barren woman. Furthermore, if this self transmigrates, from appropriation to appropriation, if it transmigrates, then there will be no existence (srid pa). If there is no existence and no appropriation, then what will transmigrate? Here, if one goes and transmigrates from the appropriation of a human to the appropriation of a god, does one go after abandoning the appropriation of the human, or does one go without abandoning it? If it is the former, because the previous appropriation has been abandoned and the subsequent appropriation has not been taken, in between those, that self will not have the five aggregates of existence and appropriation, because there is no existence and no appropriation, that self is separated from the cause of appropriation that is imputed as self. What is that self that is separated from the cause? It is nothing, it does not exist, what will transmigrate? It will not transmigrate anywhere. If it is said that one does not go without abandoning the previous appropriation, that is also unreasonable, because if one does not abandon the previous one and takes the subsequent one, one self will become two selves, because it is not desired that it exists. If it is said that between the previous and subsequent existence, there is the aggregate of the intermediate state (bar do), so there is no fault of becoming non-existent, that is also not permissible, because for the aggregate of the intermediate state to transmigrate, there is also the same fault of abandoning the previous existence and not abandoning it. If it is said that there is no fault because of simultaneously abandoning and taking, then does one side abandon the previous appropriation and one side take the appropriation of the intermediate state? Or does the entire self do this? If it is the former, it will follow that there are two selves. If it is the latter, there will also be the same fault of becoming non-existent in the interval between abandoning the previous one and not taking the subsequent one. Thus, because it is unreasonable for actions and the self to transmigrate, there is no transmigration. Second, refuting Nirvana: If it is said that there is transmigration, because there is its opposite, Nirvana. Then, Nirvana is also just a name.

I am not pure, and the cessation of conditioned phenomena is in no way reasonable. The cessation of sentient beings is also in no way possible. If there is cessation, then one should consider whether conditioned phenomena are permanent or impermanent. Whether conditioned phenomena are permanent or impermanent, cessation is in no way reasonable, because cessation has no effect on the unchanging permanent, and cessation has no effect on the non-existent impermanent. If one considers the cessation of sentient beings, then whether sentient beings are permanent or impermanent, cessation is in no way possible, which is the same as with conditioned phenomena. If one considers something that cannot be said to be permanent or impermanent, then does that self (Sanskrit: Ātman) exist or not at the time of cessation? If it exists, it becomes permanent, and if it does not exist, it becomes impermanent. Therefore, it is also unreasonable to say that a person cannot be said to be permanent or impermanent. Second, refuting bondage and liberation. There are two types: general refutation and specific refutation of liberation. The first has two parts: the actual and the presentation of other ways of refutation. The first is: If samsara and nirvana do not exist, but bondage and liberation do exist, and therefore the nature of things also exists, then bondage and liberation are also conventional truths, and are not truly established. Conditioned phenomena that have the nature of arising and ceasing will not be bound or liberated. As before, sentient beings will also not be bound or liberated. Here, since afflictions such as desire do not cause ordinary beings to transcend the three realms, desire and so on are said to be bondage. For the bondage that is considered to be bondage of desire and so on, it is impossible for momentary conditioned phenomena that have the nature of arising and ceasing, because things that arise and perish immediately do not exist by their own nature. Therefore, they are not bound. For them, liberation, which is characterized by the cessation of bondage such as desire, is also impossible, because the reason is the same as before. Just as it was said before that there is no bondage and liberation in conditioned phenomena, so too, as before, there is
