Explanation of Chapter Two. Explanation of Chapter Two. Second, in the examination of going and coming, there are two aspects: extensive refutation and concise presentation of reasoning. The first aspect has five points: refuting the act of going, refuting the agent who goes, refuting the proof of the existence of going, examining oneness and otherness and refuting, and explaining other ways of refutation. The first point has two aspects: refuting going on the general path and refuting going while walking. First, if the cessation of birth is established, there is no refutation of the distinctions of dependent origination, etc. Even so, in order to establish that dependent origination has no coming and going, it is necessary to state some well-known reasons. Answer: It should be stated. Like this, if one does not investigate, then the so-called going and coming are merely worldly terms. Yogis abide in equipoise, and when they examine the nature of things as they are with wisdom, they are not truly existent. If going is definite, then, for a moment, let us examine whether it is in the place that has been gone, or the place that has not been gone, or on the path of going. All are unreasonable. Because: The place that has been gone does not go, the place that has not been gone is not going, apart from the gone and not gone, going cannot be known. The path that has been gone, the act of going has ceased, so it does not go. If one says that going occurs where the act of going has ceased, this is describing the act of going with the present perfect tense, because there is no connection. The place that has not been gone, the act of going has not arisen, so it is also not going. Because the future where the act of going has not arisen contradicts the present of the act of going. There is also no going on the path of going, because apart from the gone and not gone, going cannot be known. Because, here, the place that has been crossed by the goer is the gone place, and the place that has not been crossed is the not gone place, and there is no other aspect of the path different from these two. Second, there is going while walking, where there is movement, there is going. And why is there movement while walking? Because movement is neither gone nor not gone, therefore there is going while walking. Among them, where the foot is lifted from is the gone place, and where the foot is placed is the not gone place. Therefore, the third other than these two is walking.

Since that which has become an action does not have anything, therefore, it is not reasonable to have going in standing. In whatever path there is the movement of lifting and placing the foot of the goer, there is going, and that movement is also because of standing, that movement is not for what has gone, nor is it for what has not gone, therefore, standing has going, if you say so. Even if examined in that way, that standing has going, how can it be reasonable? That is only unreasonable. Why? Because when there is no going, standing is not reasonable. When you call the path itself occupied by the action of going as standing, at that time, standing without the action of going is not reasonable, and there is only one action of going, and that one represents the standing of the path, therefore, the sound of going is empty of the action of going, so the meaning of the words "standing has going" is not completely fulfilled. Therefore, it is not reasonable for standing to have going. If it is thought that going itself is related to the action of going, then, for whose standing there is going, for his standing there is no going, it will become a fallacy, because standing has the reason of going. The opponent, for whose side, thinks that standing empty of the action of going has going, for his side, as the meaning of the sound of standing, the absence of the action of going will become a fallacy, because the single action of going is related to that which is going, so only standing separated from the action of going has the reason of going. Therefore, going will only become this much, and the word standing will become empty of meaning. If it is thought that both standing and going are related to the action of going, then, if standing has going, it will become a fallacy of two goings, because which makes that become standing, and for that standing, which is going. If both standing and going have the action of going, then it will become a fallacy of two goings, which going represents that the path becomes standing, this is one, which makes that path become the basis of going for standing, which is going, this is the second. Although there are two goings, what is the fault? If it becomes a fallacy of two goings, go
