Knowing: For twelve years after the Teacher Buddha lived, the teachings existed without flaw, and during that time, the Uposatha was performed by reciting three verses such as "Do no evil." In the thirteenth year, Zangjin (a person's name) engaged in sexual activity, and from then on, the precepts were established. After the precepts were established, the Pratimoksha Sutra was recited during the Uposatha. Therefore, from the establishment of the precepts until the Buddha's Nirvana, due to each of the four continents, different precepts were established for different regions, times, and people, so there was no certainty in location and time. When making prohibitions and allowances for the Uposatha, it is not absolutely necessary to recite the Admonition Sutra. Reciting the Admonition Sutra before reciting the Auspicious Time Sutra is the practice of the early practitioners. Even if a remaining offense is committed, as long as a blessing is performed in front of someone before committing the offense, it can be compensated. There are three situations for the movement of semen: moving from the original place, entering the womb, and flowing out from the end of the sexual organ. The initial exhausted pleasure is mostly experiencing phenomena such as heart palpitations. That is all, there is no need to ejaculate in order to produce the remainder. Regarding the New Year, some early people start counting from the Pleiades (ninth month of the Tibetan calendar) in the small autumn month. Although this is in accordance with the Essence of the Sun, it is the tradition of the Rishi's Music, so it is a non-Buddhist tradition. Khenchen Butonpa believes that it starts from the Jyeshtha month (eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar). There is no scriptural basis, and from the time of the Rishi's Music to the time of the Buddha, the return of the sun has advanced by one month. He said that from the Buddha to the present, it has advanced by twelve or thirteen days, so he uses this reason to postpone the New Year. However, there is no evidence that the return of the sun has advanced. Even in the time of Rishi's Music, the summer solstice returned in the first ten days of the first month of autumn, and the winter solstice returned in the first ten days of the first month of spring, as recorded in the Essence of the Sun. In the time of the Buddha, the time of the sun's return was also determined as stated in the Abhidharmakosha. In the second month of summer, the nights become longer from the last ninth day, and in the fourth month of winter, the days become shorter and return. The commentary on the Abhidharmakosha explains this clearly. Furthermore, according to that tradition, it must be admitted that early summer starts from the first day of the waxing moon of Jyeshtha.

Because it hardens from the third month, it must harden from the first day of the dark half of the fourth month. The time for hardening is five months, so the time from the fourth month to the sixth month becomes the time for hardening. As it says in the Garland Tantra: From the first day of the month of Rohini, the previous summer is the most important. Likewise, the upper half of the fourth month is the same. The first day is known as later. As it says: From the month of Krittika to the month of Jyeshtha, it is permitted to harden. And so on, there are many inconsistencies. Therefore, the Buddha said that the first season is winter. The custom of considering the beginning of the year from the first month of winter is the Buddhist tradition. The custom of considering the beginning of the year from the last month of autumn is the tradition of the outsiders. Although the way of calculating the beginning of the year differs, both insiders and outsiders agree to start from the last month of autumn (Virgo) and the first month of winter. Therefore, if the year is calculated from the beginning, then the promise of early and late summer, the time of hardening, and the time of excavation explained in the scriptures, are all very consistent with the seasons. Regarding the question of whether work can be completed inside a boat, it can be completed if the boat does not move; it cannot be completed if it moves and sails. The reason is that if it is known that the promise of summer can be completed inside a boat that does not move, and it can be spread, then it is known from the permissible range that it cannot be completed. If the teacher suppresses many obstacles and performs activities such as recitation, can it be completed? It is said in the minor commentary that it can be completed and there is no fault. Milk and yogurt are always permissible. Yogurt strained with water and tara cloth is suitable for consumption at the prescribed time. Unboiled rice ears give rise to the actual downfall of intoxication. The sutra explicitly states that eating lees and residues has corresponding consequences. The sutra says that what is swallowed by Rahu is not the unknown holder. If eaten at an inappropriate time, a downfall occurs because it must be made permissible. Sesame and flax seeds, etc., are not certain because they are seeds of thoggu. If a bhikshu consumes them without making them permissible, it generates the downfall of destroying the seeds. Because they are lifelong medicines, they can be consumed at inappropriate times. In the morning, there is no need to seek permissible water. There is a need to use medicines that are permissible at the prescribed time, etc., at inappropriate times. If the four permissible medicines, etc., are not for the sick, will they receive blessings?
