There is also no place. The mind does not abide in the manner of relying on the body, nor does the body abide in the manner of relying on the mind. Speech does not abide in the manner of relying on the mind, nor does the mind abide in the manner of relying on speech. Likewise, speech does not abide in the body, nor does the body abide in speech. Why is that? Because these three are like the sky, their essence is pure and their nature is imperceptible. Showing that through questions and answers: Then, all the Tathagatas prayed thus: Where does the great Vajradhara, the sixth, who is the cause of all the five families of the Tathagatas, abide? From where does he arise? This is the question. The answer is that the great Vajradhara arises from and abides in the yogi's own body, speech, and mind. Where does the mind of all the Tathagatas abide? This is the question. The answer is that it abides in the sky, that is, in the clear light. Where does the sky, that is, the clear light, abide? This is the question. The answer is that the clear light does not abide anywhere, and like the sky, no limit can be discerned. Summarizing the text with the words of the compiler: Then, the Buddhas such as Akshobhya and the Bodhisattvas such as Maitreya, although without inherent existence, generate fruits merely in name, therefore they are amazed at the cause. Although without inherent existence, they arise from the cause in name, therefore they are astonished at the result. Abiding in the nature of their own mind, that is, in the play of the mind, contemplating the suchness of cause and effect, and having cut off doubt, they will become silently abiding. The meaning of the chapter title is that the mind, which is the nature of moving and non-moving, is all sentient beings. Its samaya is the great Vajradhara. Its essence is the worldly and transworldly siddhis. It is Vajra because it is never interrupted. The collection of texts in which it arises and is made clear is also called that. This is the commentary on the fifteenth chapter.
