And the reason why both karma and afflictions come as cause and effect, and karma, Karma is the way to accumulate good and bad deeds of body, speech, and mind. 14 Explaining the way of maturation, that is, the maturation of the four fruits. 15 In this way, apply these principles to all sentient beings. 16 Fifth, the instruction on transforming illness into the path, which is the instruction on harmonizing the elements. Fifth, the instruction on transforming illness into the path, which is the instruction on harmonizing the elements, includes: diagnosing the illness, distinguishing between curable and incurable conditions, and expelling the illness. The first part is divided into two types: illnesses caused by gods and demons, and illnesses caused by one's own nature. 24-37 Among them, there are four types: illnesses caused by imbalance of the four elements of the body, illnesses caused by the three poisons of afflictions. 17 Illnesses of body, speech, and mind, and conceptual thoughts, such as diagnosing the illness. 19 Third, diagnosing the illnesses of body, speech, and mind, divided into a brief explanation of the faults of the illness and a detailed explanation. Among them, in terms of the body, muscles and bones experience strains, sprains, swelling, and three types of fluid accumulation. In terms of speech, there are errors, life-sustaining winds. 18 There is disorder, discomfort in the upper body, and three faults of speech. In terms of mind, there are distraction, dullness, and three types of stupor, totaling nine types. Second, distinguishing between curable and incurable conditions, including: four conditions that cannot be cured by worldly methods, and conditions that can be cured through reverence for the lama. Third, expelling the illness is divided into three types: general expulsion of illness, Separate expulsion for each illness, and concluding the expulsion of illness with the four views as armor. The first type, the superior is to expel through view, the intermediate is to expel through focus, this is to expel through meditation. The inferior is through the body's Movement and the movement of actions to expel. 19 First, the superior expulsion through view is divided into two stages: preliminary and main practice. The preliminary is further divided into two aspects: prophecy that is not forgotten and Setting boundaries, which is the union of the body. Second, the main practice is divided into a brief explanation, which is the realized one, and a detailed explanation. Among them, there are three aspects: first is identification, in the middle is abandoning self-grasping, and finally is eliminating the obstacles of hope and fear. The first aspect has four: determining that illness and demons, whatever they may be, are caused by conceptual thoughts; showing the nature of conceptual thoughts as emptiness Dharmakaya; explaining the manifestation of samsara and nirvana from the perspective of Dharmakaya Buddha; and accepting suffering. Among them, there are three aspects: when illness arises, not relying on external medicine, Establishing the root of cutting off illness in unwavering devotion to the lama; and through trust in the instructions, practicing diligently for a long time, thereby recovering. 20 Second, in the middle is abandoning self-grasping --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, it is necessary to recognize the root of all suffering and practice its antidote. This is divided into two: practicing the nature of reality and practicing the methods of conceptual thought. The first is further divided into four points: determining non-attachment through view, abandoning the path through meditation, separating body and mind and abiding, and demonstrating that in this way, the self-nature child is liberated in its own place, and occasionally combining view and meditation, always acting in a playful manner. The second is to practice the methods of conceptual thought, that is, to repeatedly contemplate emptiness with the wisdom of conceptual thought, in order to counteract diseases and demonic obstacles. Through this antidote, even if it is a sudden antidote, it should be as fierce as hitting with a stone. In short, it is to practice these three methods. There are four points here: before showing such an antidote to the disease, one must pray to the guru; regard the guru's words as a measure; introduce the nature of reality; and take on the suffering of others with conventional Bodhicitta. Third, there are four points to introducing the nature of reality: showing that the disease is sudden; introducing the illusory body as meaningless; introducing that conceptual thought has no foundation and is completely cut off; and introducing that mind and dharma are free from elaboration. Third, eliminate the crossroads of hope and fear. First, recognize the disease, if it can be cured. For the disease, like fire, obtain the root and treat it. Transform poison into nectar, introduce the method of conceptual thought. For gods and demons, distinguish between acceptance and rejection, which has four points. Second, for various different disease treatments, there are two types: diseases of gods and demons and diseases of self-nature. There are four types here: Guru Nāropā (Sanskrit: Nāropā, meaning: Lion among men), who subdues the imbalance of elements, performs disease treatment; the disease treatment of afflictions, namely greed; the disease treatment of the three poisons; the disease treatment of body, speech, and mind; and the disease treatment of conceptual thought. The first, in short, is to integrate earth into wind, and explain in detail the reduction of elements and the balance of tastes. This includes eliminating obstacles and performing disease treatment. The first includes correcting the faults of meditation and the degree of wind channel adjustment. Finally, the body is of medium degree, the breath is of superior degree, and it is completely integrated into the sky. Second, disease treatment includes three aspects: recognizing the disease, performing the treatment, and summarizing. First, recognizing the disease includes four signs: if it is a disease of Bekan (Tibetan medicine name, one of the three humors of Lung, Tripa, and Bekan), the external sign is heaviness of the body; if it is a cold disease, the sign is edema; if it is a hot disease, the sign is fever; if it is a wind disease, the sign is flatulence. Second, perform the treatment, Bekan (Tibetan medicine name, one of the three humors of Lung, Tripa, and Bekan) is like this. Throw it away. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
