Firstly, regarding dullness of mind as a meditative stupor. It is impossible to restrain the mind by negating the grasper and the grasped from blocking thoughts. Just as when the king's consort says she does not see the sun, that does not block the sun. Thirdly, for sinking, the peg of extolling awareness: Tightly clench awareness and assume the stance of a lion. Tighten the limbs of the body and fix awareness on sound. For agitation, the breaking of the neck: Shorten the sessions of meditation and increase the number of sessions. For peace, the peg of leaving it as it is: When experience arises, loosen effort. However, there is no need to eliminate the faults of sinking and agitation. Secondly, merely embellishing with the mind is the demon, because that very effort is without concept. In meditation, there is no patching the mind with a later consciousness. Since what is to be cognized is not objectified by its own nature, how can the wisdom that cognizes be objectified? Since what is to be cognized and what cognizes are not divided, it is called the inconceivable dimension. However it appears, since it is not established at the very time of appearing, it is called the union of appearance and emptiness. In short, since there is nothing to discard, there is also nothing to be adopted. Therefore, one should be placed in the state of equality of rejection and acceptance. Maitripa said, 'The inconceivable is the very nature of mind, the very nature of all things. When one realizes that beings are of one taste, there is no concept and it is luminous.' And, 'It is not seen by wisdom, it is not dual, nor is it non-dual. It is the characteristic of pure enlightenment.' Again, Lawapa said, 'What should be adopted, what should be discarded, what should be abandoned, wherever, however, that is obtained without effort.' Thirdly, when the inner afflictions and the clinging to truth of conceptual thought are pacified, the objects of outer appearance arise in a startling way that cannot be stopped. On top of that, if it is left as it is, then all appearances and sounds become a magical display of the boundless aspects of wisdom. Appearance and mind become indistinguishable and blend into one, like adding water to water. The Guhyasamaja Tantra says, 'All beings are empty from the beginning. No cause or condition makes them empty. There is no birth or aging in this. That is called coemergent.' Saraha said, 'As long as the mind is scattered, it is the nature of the Protector (Guhyasamaja). Are water and waves different?' Fourth, when the previous conceptual thought has ceased and the subsequent one has not yet arisen, remember the nature of the mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When awareness transcends active recollection, any arising thought, resting uncorrected in its own nature, becomes inseparable from the Dharmadhatu (法界, Dharmadhātu, Dharmadhatu, the realm of reality), and all dualistic appearances cease. As the scripture says, 'The nature of mind is inconceivable, resting in its natural state.' Thus, when Suchness (真如, Suchness, Suchness, the true nature of reality) is purified, ignorance transforms into wisdom. It is also said, 'Self-nature is inherently blissful, abandoning all conceptual thoughts. Beings are inherently like this, therefore everything is without defilement.' Third, the conduct of demolishing the falsehood of Samsara (轮回, Samsara, Samsara, cyclic existence) in its own place: It is divided into three aspects: the conduct of beginners, the conduct of those who have some control over wisdom, and the conduct of those who have complete control over wisdom. First, the conduct of beginners refers to not rejecting or accepting the appearances of the six aggregates (六根, Six Aggregates, Six Aggregates, the six sense faculties), but allowing the elephant of the mind to run wild like a young calf. If it cannot become an antidote to afflictions, then the necessity of Dharma (佛法, Dharma, Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha) will be lost, so do not regard afflictions as negative. Do not think that the wisdom of the antidote is good, but rather grasp the key to transforming everything into the path upon whatever circumstances appear, destroying the notions of purity and impurity through the conduct of an outcaste, like a bee gathering honey on flowers. As the scripture says, 'If you see its meaning, you will be liberated, imitate the conduct of children and outcastes.' It also says, 'Let the elephant of the mind run wild, imitate the bee gathering honey on flowers.' Secondly, not regarding Samsara (轮回, Samsara, Samsara, cyclic existence) as a fault, thereby cutting off doubts; not hoping to attain Nirvana (涅槃, Nirvana, Nirvana, liberation), thereby destroying hope, in order to become proficient in the key points of a carefree yogi, one should very secretly experience non-discrimination through the behavior of madness. Therefore, one should wander everywhere, eating meat in remote places such as charnel grounds. As the scripture says, 'Meat-eating madman, go as you please.' It also says, 'Do not regard Samsara (轮回, Samsara, Samsara, cyclic existence) as a fault, do not regard Nirvana (涅槃, Nirvana, Nirvana, liberation) as something to be attained.' The Secret Accomplishment says: 'Abiding in unspoken Samadhi (等持, Samadhi, Samadhi, meditative absorption), maintain the form of a madman. With the yoga of a self-desired deity, wander everywhere while eating meat.' Third, 'Like a fearless lion,' for example, just as the king of beasts, the lion, dwells in the mountains, and does not feel fear, shame, or goosebumps because of the gathering of wild animals in the mountains, nor even a trace of doubt, but only thinks of his own food. Similarly, abiding uncorrected in the nature of ordinary awareness, without discrimination of actions, etc... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
