Stretch the arms towards the sky and guide the breath to the crown of the head with nine ‘Hiks’ (ཧིག་, Devanagari: हिक्, Romanized Sanskrit: hik, interjection expressing exclamation or calling). Combine these two actions with four types of union: incorporating the four continents, uniting Mount Meru with the ocean, pressing the tongue against the palate, and alternately contracting the arms. The breathing method is similar to drinking water. The fifth is to spread the breath throughout the entire body: use the instructions of ‘spreading various posture mudras’ and ‘great nails.’ Hold the ‘vase breath’ (Kumbhaka) as long as possible, and strive for the illusion wheel of twenty bindus, such as the ‘lion posture.’ Specifically: focus the mind on the bliss of the jewel, feeling as if the jewel is blocked. If the bliss is unbearable, move the attention to the navel, alleviating the discomfort by controlling the mind, then move to the heart. If it is still unbearable, move to the crown of the head and the entire body, causing the entire body to faint with bliss. Whatever object you focus on and look at, if you feel intoxicated with bliss, then white hair, wrinkles, parasites, pus, blood, etc., will not occur. Finally, without deviating from the nature of bliss, remain in equanimity, and thus accomplish emptiness and union. Third, integrating the subsequent into the path, including integrating the breath into the channels and integrating the breath into the winds. First, integrating the breath into the channels: ‘Then, within the channels, press the left index finger forcefully into the ground, leaning the body forward. Or, both hands can be used.’ Second, integrating the breath into the winds: ‘The instruction for integrating the breath into the winds is: press down the upper wind and tighten the lower wind.’ After these union postures, practice at least twenty-one vase breaths. For example, a precious jewel, if not pierced, cannot be united; once pierced, it bestows joy.’ That is, the non-leakage of Bodhicitta (梵文:Bodhicitta,觉悟之心) is the main cause of Nirvana (梵文:Nirvana,寂灭). To achieve this, there is no other way than the path of Karma-mudra (梵文:Karma-mudra,行动手印). As stated in the Kalachakra (梵文:Kalachakra): ‘Fire is the enemy of mercury, but the binding of mercury depends on fire.’ This is similar to that. Fire is indeed the enemy of mercury; if separated from fire, mercury can never be bound. If not bound, it cannot make gold, and without gold, there is no enjoyment for those speakers. Similarly, if separated from women, the mind of a pure yogi (梵文:Yogi) will never be bound. If there is no binding, the body will not be pierced, and the unpierced body cannot bestow innate bliss (梵文:Sahaja-sukha,与生俱来的喜乐) here.’ The mind, like crystal, enters the object through union.

Is stained by the faults of saṃsāra. Faults and virtues are not in the mind. There are two kinds of abandonment regarding this: one is abandoning due to the absence of merit, and the other is abandoning due to being supremely excellent. Even those with excellent qualities, if their wisdom is dull, may rely (on a spiritual friend). This is not the realm of practice for everyone, but the realm of practice for some.’ What is said is easy to understand. Those skilled in terminology, the reservoir of water in their throats will surely dry up in this place. Here, I create the lotus of well-spoken words, emitting fragrance. To quell the suffering of beings, this (well-spoken word) is like the creeper of Haricandana, the cluster of its flower spikes, cannot compare with the blowing of the wind of Malaya. With a body of a thousand-spoked wheel, arising from wisdom and merit, like other Dharma kings, one reigns over the ground of the Buddha's teachings. Thus, the essential instructions of the oral transmission of the venerable Nāropa. Expounded and realized extensively by the glorious Phagmo Drupa. Following the words of the venerable lama, this instruction manual, condensed into essence, was written for Dbon Peljor Dhondup, the thirteenth lineage holder of Vajradhara Ngokton. By Pema Karpo, victorious over all directions, written while meditating in the cave of Khar-chu. Sarva maṅgalaṃ. (藏文:སརྦ་མངྒ་ལཾ།,梵文天城体:सर्व मङ्गलम्,梵文罗马拟音:sarva maṅgalaṃ,May all be auspicious!) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
