In the seven seas, dwell in the water; above the seven mountains, fly in the sky, dwell on the land. Beyond the reach of arrows, the abode of the afterlife is far away, with flags as boundaries in each direction, and in the center, a canopy of colored threads is raised, banners are hung, and four boundary lines are drawn. Display wish-fulfilling jewels, precious gems, food, and various ornaments, and arrange mountain delicacies, aquatic products, medicines, grains, clothing, and other abundant items. Below, pile up two loads of 'Dos' (མདོས, a type of sacrificial food offering). Light eight butter lamps in the center and corners, and display whatever game and new food offerings are available. Second, the method of making special Tormas: For MaMo (female protector deity), make Tormas representing body, speech, and mind. On the three-tiered steps of Mount Meru, place vases and skull bowls. For Maheśvara (Great Lord) and his retinue, create a four-tiered Mount Meru, adorned with Garudas, swans, crocodiles, horses, elephants, peacocks, Peng birds, lions, tigers, and leopards as flags. Offer pure food. For Mara (demon), above the two-tiered steps of Mount Meru, build a black demon palace, surrounded by nine deep trenches. Adorn with lions, elephants, horses, birds, dogs, black yaks, dragons, goats, pigs, bears, vultures, Peng birds, and silk flags. Offer the flesh, blood, and hearts of these animals as demon food. For Yama (Lord of Death), on the three-tiered triangular steps of Mount Meru, place dry skulls. Offer red horses, white goats, black sheep, mixed-color yaks, buffaloes, owls, carnivorous birds, peacocks, bears, red banners, wooden puppets, flesh, and blood as Yama's food. For the righteous star (Dran-srong gza'), create a three-tiered triangular Mount Meru, with vases placed on top. Adorn with humans, birds, horses, yaks, goats, sheep, black goats, tigers, leopards, and black pigs as flags. Offer flesh, blood, hearts, black Torma lingams, as well as conch shells, rhinoceros horns, armor, tiger skins, leopard skins, rotten meat, rotten blood, rotten fish, and goat livers as paternal offerings. Offer three whites, three sweets, dragon medicine, and camphor as local offerings. Offer the hearts of tigers, bears, cows, and fish as the four maternal offerings.
